  We arrived in Sri Lanka after a long flight from Edinburgh, Scotland, and we were greeted kindly by the lovely Isuru. Straight away we knew he would look after us - a real gentlemen. He even stopped at a guest house on the way to Dambulla so we could freshen up and recharge a little. We spent 5 incredible days in Sri Lanka, climbing Lions Rock in Dambulla, seeing elephants in Kaudulla, checking out ancient architecture in Polonnaruwa, tea plantations in Nuwera Elyia, temples in Kandy and much much more. Each step of the way Isuru made sure our journey was as comfortable as possible and gave us lots of insight into his gorgeous country and how they work, eat and play - you just see the traditional dancing in Kandy!
  Overall we had an incredible time and we’re sad to leave both Sri Lanka and Isuru! He is a credit to both his company and his country, as I really hope we make it back to see him again. My husband and I would highly recommend this company - it's great value, employs wonderful staff and is a great experience all round.

  From start to finish this was an excellent experience. We had prompt replies from the company whilst booking and they were very flexible with the itinerary. Our driver, Chanaka, arrived early to meet us and was full of energy and excellent ideas about ways to make the trip even better. He was the perfect professional, but more importantly brought passion, humour and joy to showcasing Sri Lanka. He gave us exactly the right blend of the tourist experience we all want, whilst making sure we avoided any pitfalls or poor experiences. The whole package is exactly as it is described. No extra fees or charges, and everything arranged to perfection. We have already recommended both Sri Lanka Wide Tours and specifically Chanaka to other people. Thank you for making our first visit to Sri Lanka so enjoyable and memorable! :)

  I had visited Sri Lanka as a young man in 1975 and was keen to go back there, this time with my wife, to revisit some of the great sites I vaguely remembered from 42 years ago and see how much things had changed. In planning a seven day/six night tour of Sri Lanka in early February 2018 I looked online at various companies who could provide a driver and Sri Lanka Wide Tours seemed extremely competent. Dirshana always got back to me almost immediately to any questions I raised online and I liked the way the company appeared to be flexible, open to different suggestions and did not insist on providing a set programme with hotels they had pre-booked. Instead that was left to me. We had also requested a car with a large boot as we had extra luggage and this was also no problem.
  On arrival we were met at Colombo Airport by Shiran who turned out to be not only an expert driver, but an excellent guide, companion and source of information about the country. He also speaks English very well.
  He had a very good knack of being very professional, always on time, with a clean car and bottles of water each morning, flexible to allow us to change aspects of the itinerary, so we would discuss each day any specific choices we had on what to see, where to eat etc. though we were more than happy most of the time to go along with his suggestions.
  Sometimes we chatted a lot. Other times we just looked at the scenery, but it was always very relaxed. We talked a lot about his family and we really appreciated the fact that Shiran took us to meet some of them on his home turf when we reached Nuwara Eliya.
  Shiran is a very confident driver, weaving around the ubiquitous tuk-tuks, lorries, bicycles, buses, and stray dogs on the roads, but not in a reckless manner, so we had a very comfortable journey in the car.
  During the course of our week we decided on a major change of itinerary to allow two days down by the coast. This entailed cancelling a pre-booked jeep safari at a National Park, but we were able to arrange this including reimbursement via Shiran with Darshana.
  So, all in all, using Sri Lanka Wide Tours was an excellent way to see the country. I can recommend them highly.

  Our honeymoon in Sri Lanka was a great experience - and Shiran definitely helped us to make it remarkable! From the beginning until the end he was always friendly, supportive and very professional. He was very punctual and always provided us with fresh water during our trip. He answered all of our questions and gave us interesting insights into his land, culture and history. We felt very well during these 2 weeks due to his authentic company and honest way to advise us (which is helpful in order not to fall into tourist traps). We could really profit from his years of experience in guiding visitors through the whole country. Even during some difficulties we had with an overbooked hotel he was always by our side, helping us and it was good to have a local person next to us during these issue!
  One small advise for future visitors: in our itinerary were many different activities planned at some places and we did not know that the time was sometimes to short to do all of them. So probably it is useful to decide beforehand which one you would like to skip and which one you would definitely like to see. Anyway, Shiran was also very good in advising us and to propose a plan which would meet our needs.
  It was a great pleasure to get to know him and to experience this beautiful country in his company. We can definitely recommend to go on this interesting trip with Shiran!
