  Had an opportunity to experienced beautiful sun rising!!!
  Have to be at lake at least 5.30a.m. for good photos with nice view. Also, bird watching will be adding marvellous experience through a boat trip.camping facilities also available & can be checked with boat owners.

  Very beautiful
  Boat ride was a little bit boring.
  But the environmental just melted it.
  Strong windy climate is present when it is sunny

  there is an small island in the middle of the tank which is not popular at all!! if you discuss with the boat owners there, you can camp there overnight!
  boat guys give you all the neccesities and they also stay with us in the night to serve usno any dangermust watch.!!

  It is an age old tank built in the era of king dutugemunu. The great gladiator "Bulatha" have built it with sluice gates built out of the original rocks present in the dam itself. It is an interesting place to visit and have a cool bath totally free of charge.

  This tank has a great historical value. It is believed that this tank wad built by "Bulatha", who was very strong more than a normal person. It is said that he constructed this tank by himself.

  Sorabora wewa is located in mahiyanganaya. According to the historical facts, this tank was done by "Bulatha". He used provide beetles to the castle.
