Divine full place, temple fully build in granite.

One of the Hindu temple build with granite. It's isolation from the roads and other attractions gives peace of mind and a better ambience to practise spiritual knowledge. Build according to the scriptures makes it more attractive.

One of the main Hindu temple of lord Siva in Colombo and Srilanka. Fully built with black granite brought from India, including the roof. Good sculpturs on the black granite stones.

One of the main shrines of Hindus in around Colombo city as well as in the country. The unique stone architecture brings an eligence to the place and also provides a calm and tranquil atmosphere for the pilgrims.
Fully pledged wedding hall is also available behind the kovil for Hindus for their functions.
People from all religious groups visit this place for spiritual and religious purposes.
Also This is one of tourists attraction to visit during a city tour in Colombo.
However You need to be adhered to the customs when enter in to the kovil by wearing proper clothes and removing shoes.response / report this review -

This is the best Lord Sivan Temple in Sri Lanka,the temple is very special because it is the only temple is Sri Lanka built entirely with granite stones.The temple special on Pirathosa and Sivarathiri.

It is one of the most popular and famous temple that is entirely made up of south granite stone ,This is the one best Hindu temple in Colombo city, very special on Sivarathri times, parking space available inside the temple, it’s a must visit place, you will get peaceful mind.
