  It is situated in the Alukkatiyawa Grama Niladhari Division in the Ridimaliyadda Divisional Secretariat Division of the Badulla District. This is believed to belong to the Anuradhapura period. Turn left from Tissapura Junction along the Aluketiyawa road. The temple can be seen after about 4 hours.
  
  The main statue of the Buddha is a sleeping Buddha statue. It is a statue of the Kandyan tradition. There is a statue of Samadhi Buddha sitting at the head of the Buddha statue and two statues of Samadhi Buddha at the feet. Also, a pandal with a half-elevation ornamental pattern is depicted with a Vishnu Deva statue and flowers in the form of 'Rahata'. Floral patterns and geometric patterns adorn the cave space and the canopy of the cave. Another cave with a letter can be seen in addition to the main cave. The Archaeological Department reports that the Brahmi inscriptions of the second Pattissa era are found here.

  It is a lonely rocky mountain with a clear view of the surrounding area. Near the top of the mountain is the old temple. The mountain top is beautifully seen in Mahiyangana, Ridimaliyadda.
  The history of this temple goes back to the 2nd century BC. Natural Ponds, Navatre Caves There is a calm and quiet environment. It is reported that both the kings of Sadatissa and Walagamba visited the temple and worshiped it.
