There two places for the camping, one is river side other one is upper side,

A wonderful getaway spot to relax and enjoy the Knuckles mountain range. Situated close to all of the popular attractions like Manigala, Sera Ella, and Pitawala Pathana, this place helps you find that perfect balance between isolation and convenience. Of course, this is close to the heart of the mountain range so don't expect a hotel experience. There will be leeches, there will be rain, there will be mud. The caretaker will commit to his utmost capacity to make your stay as comfortable as possible and the facilities are top notch considering the location. 10/10 and will recommend to anyone looking for such a place.

Riverston and pitawala plain visinity is a perfect place for mind relaxingeco friendly solar powered camp site located in front of manigala rock (මානිගල කන්ද) one of the peaks of knuckles mountain belt and alongside paddy fields near thelgamu stream (තෙල්ගමුව ඔය).. what else a traveller need for relaxing.

spend 3 nights in the place. Amazing place to chilx with friends. Surrounding beautiful Manigala mountain range and Telgamu Oya.Its a lovely camping site near river. Good village food, friendly staff and value for money.

We had an awesome time at the Riverston basecamp. The place is conveniently located near to a unpopular, untapped area of Thelgamu oya. It is ideal for a soothing bath and for spectacular sceneries. The caretaker is also a friendly guy. BBQ is good. I recommend this to anyone who are looking for a weekend hideout!

Superb camping experience. River is next to the camping site and surrounded by the thick jungle. Very peaceful and quite.

Back to basic camping by Thelgamu oya at the base of manigala. Far away from Human Settlements and this is for a real camping experience.
Has a lovely natural pool for a cold dip just by the campsite. Excellent village food served and has solar power.response / report this review -

This is a best place to do camping in the area. Very private . Right next to Thelgamu oya. Surrounding village and the setting makes you think that you visit old Sri lanka. Guides are knowledgeable about Manigala and Duwili Ella Hikes. Good Sri lankan meal.
