  Gorgeous place to stay! Friendly staff, lovely food, comfy bed, great pool & garden areas. Would've given 5* except there was noisy building work going on during our stay!

  Nice and calm location. Great and relaxed service team. The owner runs his own safari business with an excellent and very experienced driver/scout. We had a great stay.

  Really easy going people and very chillout spot. Perfect for relaxing in between the trees. Close to small commerce. Next to amazing lakes but anyway you are in between lovely nature in the Cabanas. 100% recommended.

  We were the first guest so in the new campsite which is 3km from the main guesthouse. The cabana is right by the lake with loads of birds to spot. The night watchman built us a fire and the guest house delivered us delicious food and curd and treacle for dinner. The next morning we were picked up and taken to the yala safari- organised by riverside cabana. The guide was a bale to spot animals with such ease! Amazing experience! And the food at the riverside cabana was some of the best we had in Sri Lanka! We recommend staying here!

  Me and my friend stayed here and we loved it. Outside cinema with bonfire, hammocks to chill out in by the river, and good food. Dimuthu who owns the place was always friendly and helpful, also his wife. Can definitely recommend staying at this nice place.

  5 star service from all the staff and owner. They couldn't do any more to help us genuinely lovely people. We booked all our trips through them and to say thank you upgraded our room to a family tree house.

  During our stay we were welcomed with open arms and lots of hospitality. We were even served a lovely lunch before leaving even though the restaurant was closed due to new year's celebrations. Outside our window we were even able to take some pictures of some funny monkeys in the tree opposite our room.
  
  The only downside was that we were assigned another safari driver than the owners (who came highly recommended). This other driver was not entirely to our liking as he spent the first hour rushing through the park and past lots of animals trying to catch a glimpse of the of the leopards. We caught no such glimpse and were left shaken and with an unfortunate impression of a driver who had little knowledge not interest in any of the other animals.

  La atención fue muy buena. El dueño nos ofreció una cabaña un poquito más costosa por el mismo precio ya que la tenia desocupada. La ducha no tiene agua caliente como casi todos los lugares de sri Lanka. Un albergue económico no se esperen lujos.

  Great place with a really cool treehouse, nice authentic food and the nicest people I met in Sri Lanka.
  Also the owner Dimuthu can organize more or less anything you want. Safaris, Tuc Tucs or a nice chicken grill party. Also the small river is very nice to take a bath in if you are a nature lover;-) I Loved it.
  PS: best way to book is by phone or in person.

  Riverside cabana is a great and peaceful place to stay near Tissa and explore Yala-Parc or just to enjoy the hospitality of Dimuthu and his family. You can sleep in the impressiv treehouse, swim in the nearby river and enjoy the delicious and local food. I highly recomend this place for travellers and families.

  Wonderful tree houses in the nature right next to a small river. We highly recommend to stay there if you're visiting the region.
