Great place and newly renovated. I'd say it was the best curry I've ever had, the biryani rice was perfectly spiced and i was very impressed and satisfied. I couldn't believe how good the food was for the price and lot of people were in there just for the restaurant. Chatted with the chef he was cool and the staff were really great and eager to help. We stayed in the dorms (which we had to ourselves 😎) for a really great price and were happy with all facilities and it was very clean. We were also lucky to meet the owner who was a real gentleman and told us all about the place (he has restored it and it is like a museum or somethingsuch great interior design work you know he is passionate about the project) as we had tea and watched the trains go past. He also has a tea factory that he invited us to tour the next day (just the two of us) which was a special morning with more great people and gave us a new appreciation of tea. The new private rooms at this hotel looked amazing and would be a real treat but they weren't quite ready for guests when we were there in early February. Outstanding meal. We shared the seafood platter and it was sooooo good! Walking distance from the train station - do stop here to eat before leaving town. Fast wifi, friendly staff, clean facilities. Also a very interesting mini-museum with antiques. The building was once a bank; built in the late 1800s and now tastefully renovates. Paid only 9,000 rupees for seafood meal that fed 2 people. Tomato soap was also delicious.

Beautiful place with view on the rails. No noise and staff very attentive. We tried the rice and curry and it was good.

The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff is verry friendly and like a nice convention. Their is a restaurant downstairs where you can eat very well. Their is also enough accommodations to play ping-pong, darts or to chill in or out side.

Very much vintage style hotel with a restaurant. It has been made to the theme "Railway". Food is a bit expensive but comparing with the quality it is reasonable. They offer English food as well as local.
Parking spaces is not adequate when it comes to rush hour. Environment is absolutely very well planned and pretty much upto the theme. Even the captain wears a railway uniform.

don’t understand the complains of the other reviews. we had for lunch a veg curry, very very delicious. staff was very polite, funny and very well trained. cool location. especially the balcony upstairs with view to the railway tracks.

Pros: strategically placed in a good location . The security was dressed like a railway station master is a nice touch. The bro-classic antique touch in interior decor was nice. The table arrangement is good. Sleek rooms and the Room being named after the famous railway stations in upcountry railroad is different. The menu items are being named as names of trains are also nice try. The speakers mimicking a train sound is new. The adjacent museum. The abstinence of alcohol is remarkable. The Edison-type bulbs are so nice.
Cons: the food selections are pretty normal. THE MENU NEEDS A REVISION. Food tastes jus like any street food. Price is little high. Parking is going to be a problem anytime soon. The staff should be trained better. The person who was waiting my table came and ask whether he could takeaway the plate before even I finished. The ambiance of the dining can be improved with some good English songs (of course preserving the train sound) than some savvy old tamil tunes.response / report this review -

The best place in Hatton to rest and chill whilst having a nice meal.
When considering about the price, I would say its reasonable.
The place is new to the city and its like a station museum with some old train stuff. And its very easy to find because the place is on the main road closer to the rail Hatton station.response / report this review
