This temple looks like Mahabodhi temple at Bodhgaya, india. Situated in Sabaragamuwa province, about 20km away from Rathnapura in a nice and calm place near Rath ganga. Not a ancient Buddhist temple. According to my point of view the temple is little bit commercialised and doing things to attract people. I didn't get the real feeling of a temple. Nice place to visit with your kids and all but not a good place for spiritual development.

Rathganga Asu Maha Shrawaka Pasvisu Rajamaha Viharaya (Punchi Dambadiva)
Rathganga temple is located on the beautiful river Rath Ganga. Specialty of this temple is there is a replica called Punchi Dambadiwa of Dambadiwa which is very important to Buddhists. It was a great idea whom cannot visit real Dambadiwa (India) and it is very easy to worship and visit the four religious places Lumbini – place of the sacred birth of Prince Siddhartha was happened, Buddhagaya –place Gautama Buddha had obtained the Enlightenment, Jethawanaya – place Lord Buddha gave his first teachings and discourses and Kusinara – place that Lord Buddha attained Pariniravana after his death at a one place.
