Department of Health, Western Province comes under the Health Ministry of Western Provincial Council and is committed to protect and improve the health of all people in the 3 districts, viz. Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara by providing leadership in curative health services, public health services, health and medical research, policy development and planning, etc with an increased focus on well being, illness prevention, early intervention and quality care.
