The building itself is beautiful and centrally located.
Inside it is not generally busy and so it's relatively straightforward to post locally or internationally.
The process for posting a parcel back to th me uk took around 10-15 mins.

The Post Office Building of Nuwara Eliya is one of the oldest buildings in the city fondly known as the ‘Litte England’ is designated archaeological monument falling under the protection of the Department of Archaeology.
The Victorian-style red-brick building, one of the oldest post offices in the country, was built in 1894 according to the postal department.
The top floor of the Nuwara Eliya post office has been developed into a holiday bungalow since 2012.
According to Department officials, the British Colonial rulers constructed the Victorian-style red-brick building to house the post office in the picturesque hill country city of Nuwara Eliya 116 years ago.response / report this review -

Key amongst these is the Nuwara Eliya Post Office. The post office is housed within a beautiful Tudor mansion; complete with spires and a clock tower. The bright orange roofs and red bricked walls of the sprawling building form a colorful contrast with the manicured lawns and perfectly pruned hedges. Constructed in 1894 for the sole purpose of dealing with the mail of the British Colonials at the time; this century-old post office is one of the oldest in the country, whilst also being one of the oldest buildings in Nuwara Eliya town. allowing guests to experience the charm of this old building by staying in it. Those who don’t have the chance to book the accommodation can still visit the post office itself, which is on the ground floor, and purchase one of the pretty postcards available here as souvenirs.

A building that brings kind of an identity to Nuwara Eliya city. It has not undergone any architectural modifications on the outside and still has that original look. If you ever came to Nuwara Eliya, this would be very hard to miss as its at the center of the town. Good place for a travel photograph which perfectly conveys that sense of place.

Historic and Iconic building of whole of Nuwara Eliya. It still maintains the old design and architecture with all its past glory. Located right in the heart of town.

One of the most iconic building in Nuwara Eliya, I guess. It's pretty building near the business are of this town. As a tourist, you can send postcard from here. There's a post store inside and it was pretty cheap. Only Rs 25 to send postcard from here to anywhere in the world.
