Most delicious pizza! My husband and I ate there 3 times, for a 9-day stay in Dambulla, and every time the quality of the pizza was superb and it was definitely oven-baked. (I'm not sure why some reviewers say pizza was microwaved, that is certainly not our experience)
The owner is a nice and friendly guy, we chatted with him every time and got a very good impression.response / report this review -

Staff was not very friendly, and apparently not expecting customers since they had to pause their tv show to take our orders. We ordered 4 pizzas but they only had one oven, so by the time the last pizza arrived, the first person had already finished. On top of that, it was very expensive and tasted like the ones you buy in the supermarket and heat in the microwave. They were not even fully done, so the crust was almost raw dough. Steer clear.

The pizzas were not that good, tasted like they were microwaved. They didnt arrive together, they gave us one pizza a time and when the second one arrived i was already done with mine.
The price us way too expensive compared to what we godt.

As true pizza fans we decided to go to a pizza place on my girlfriends birthday. Upfront we saw the prices were pretty high. As we entered the restaurant we immediatly noticed a few things:
1. No one else was there but a large population of insects
2. It was really hot inside (no fan or ac activated, not even an open window).
3. The woman at the counter stared at us with emotionless expression and were not welcoming at all.
We ordered two small pizzas: one vegetarian and one pepperoni, along with a soda and "freshly" squeezed orangejuice.
While waiting at the booth, we had a civil war with the insects( heavy casualties on their side). Coming from the kitchen there was a familiar sound which we recognized from our time as students: "the ping". We looked over at eachother and joked about it being a microwaved pizza.
The first pizza arrived little later, the pepperoni pizza. Small detail: the pepperoni was actually a thick undercooked slice of ham. The dough was raw on the inside, extra crispy on the outside. It tasted like microwaved cardboard.
The vegetarian pizza which arrived a bit later was dissapointing as well, but the sweet and watery orangejuice was even worse.
We finished diner asap and went to the register where we weren't asked anything about our dinner or spoken to in any other way! Hospitallity for these employees was clearly equally as hard as baking a decent pizza.
All in all we payed more then 12 euros/10dollars (which is a lot in sri lanka) just to get our love for pizza punched in the face.

Very nice place to eat in Dambulla. The pizzas were good and the owner is very kind. The owner also speaks very good English wich makes this a good place for travellers to have a chat. Clean and the prices were not high. You should go when you stay in Dambulla.
