Still they developing some areas but all over it best place to visit. Specially children will like very much. Good time to visit is morning time or evening time. Most of the animals active in morning time so better to go there in morning time.

The zoo is still being developed. Leopards, sloth bears and deer are the main attractions. Need more animals to attract a crowd. Entrance fee for locals Rs. 110 for adults and Rs. 30 for kids. They also have electric buggies which costs Rs. 1200 comes with a guide. Recommend to walk you can cover the entire zoo under one hour. Able toilets inside. Only one canteen beat the leopard enclosure which had only soft drinks.

Low grade, poorly maintaining cafeteria.
Good concept which need more explanation. Great walking experience, but when you reach the cafeteria for a break, so pathetic.

Had a great time with kids.Zoo is nice .The maintain team do a great job. Many areas under construction.Hope that they will soon open butterfly zone and reptile zone . There is many kind of deers and around 10 to 20 in a herd .Most attractive areas are the area of leopard,crocodile and bear .You can hire an electric cart for Rs1000. Don't miss the crocodile's feeding time .Many spaces to sitting and resting. And leopard watching hut is very nice .you can sit there and watch them. There is an under ground cubical also if you are lucky you can watch them very close through the glass.It is nice educational and the experience is great The zoo is under construction though.

A good place for a zoo. Away from the town area. Easy navigation from any part of the country. Large land available for animals. Must and can be developed. People can visit while going to Pinnawala elephant orphanage. A good one-day trip for entire family. Ape gama also close to zoo. Bring your kids.

Good place to visit, but still under development. It doesn't crowded place. Within two hours you can cover the whole area. No more animals. Well maintained.

* Good place to visit with you'r family & Kids.
* Animals experience much freedom than other place's.
* Staff is friendly & Informative.
* Nice long walk through paths where you can experience much relaxing & clam surrounding.
* Can cover the whole place within 2-3 hours.
* Cafeteria , Wash Rooms & Drinking Water available with Parking.

Not a single butik inside the zoo to buy water or any snacks. It could be better if there is a small shop for visitors. Remember take water or drink before go in or.

Small zoo with some animals and birds. The place is not that large and can visit everything quickly. Its okay for kids to have some fun, but not that much variety for adults to enjoy. Most people visit the zoo on their way back from Pinnawala elephant orphanage.

Highly over rated. Few animals in cages just like in dehiwala zoo. Cages are little bit bigger in size. That's the only difference. Leopards park is a good concept. But there are only about 3 leopard in that vast area and you hardly can see them. Leopards are the only attraction.

Worth visiting with your family. Well maintained, an open zoo, where you can have an enjoyable relaxing walk around the zoo. Withing 2 hours time you can cover the whole area. Parking is available on the side of the main entrance.

One can get lovely and cute view of the elephants taking river bath, baby elephants fed with fruits and milk. And the elephants freely roam around in the orphanage. A must visit

Lovely environment. Good potential for an excellent zoo. Nice to see the animals moving about freely. However needs better public amenities. The car park is small. Only one entry and exit point. No pedestrian paths from carpark. Inadequate toilets. Needs better direction within the park. Good effort. Hope this will be improved and developed in the future

Nice and clam place. Only few animals are there but in there natural habitats. Please beware of electrical fences placed when visiting. Rs. 100 for local adults and Rs. 30 for local children above 3 years.
