The place is really wonderful bit away from crowded area. The sea right in front of the hotel has a rocky bottom with corals. The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel staff are very courteous and quick to respond. The only drawback that I found during my stay at the hotel is the food. And they were average level. Anyway very big thanks to the friendly staff and hope to visit again.
We stayed at this very pretty little guesthouse for 4 nights and fell in love with the place. We were seeking a quiet and peaceful location with friendly staff and a beachside setup to allow us to relax and enjoy the wonderfully hospitable environment - this was exactly what we got with Passikudah Eco Village. Anyone expecting 5 star luxury may be disappointed, however the charm and warm welcome more than make up for the slightly rustic setup. The room itself was comfortable if a little basic - there is aircon and mosquito nets and decent beds so we could not complain at all. The real joy of our stay was in the wonderful reception and treatment we received from the lady in charge (though regrettably we didn't catch her name) who always had a huge smile and made some incredible meals for usshe was brilliant and a star of our whole trip. We loved the friendly nature of the area and would absolutely recommend a stay here, both for Kalkudah Bay and Passikudah Beach, about 2km away (we even enjoyed free bike loan to help us get around the area); if your scene is all inclusive luxury and room service, stick with the big hotels - this place stands alone and oozes charm and genuine Sri Lankan warmth.
More improvements needed
