Hotel is neat and clean moreover beach is so near but if you want to go to hotel please take food and go because cant predict whether you will get food or not because if chef is busy you will not get food.Other than this no other issues.

Its a really beautiful right next to beach and very much nature loving place. Beach is really clean and out of locals touch. MOST of the staff members are really good. But security seema quite disrespectful towards locals. Its really humiliating. But food is really testy.

The only plus point is it's proximity to a beautiful beach. Rooms are not well maintained. Wifi is erratic. Their restaurant was also not operational. I stayed in a standard room, where in not even towels were provided,shower head was not working properly. I take clean towel and a good shower as a basic requirement for a beach hotel.The beds made a creaking noise every time you climb up on them.If you opt for a higher category of room, I will strongly recommend to consider options adjacent to this property.

Very nice workers everyone will greet you when they see you. Breakfast served by Dinash was nice he is so friendly. Breakfast consists of fresh fruit/omelette/hot dogs/juice/bread/tea/coffee. Spent a few nights here- alone. It’s very coupley here- many honeymooners. Not touristy so you can easily become bored 😂. My room was clean. One day I came back at 5 am and I was locked out! I was trying to climb over the fence when they finally let me in.

Expectations were high and I have to say it didn't live up to them.
The host, lovely lady in here fifties, was very warm though. Took as much care of the guests as she could. And the other staff too was welcoming.
Why don't I give the full marks you ask? It's because of the kind of place bentota is. I would say it's dull, not many people.
The rooms were small, made of solidified mud I think and the doors cranky.
Food was good and the service better. Unfortunately I forgot to click the pictures of the room.response / report this review -

The rooms AC wasn't working and it's a mediocre property, there are much better properties in that area for the same price

Nice place with spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. A good place for budget travelers. Do not expect 5 star facilities.

Had an amazing stay at palm beach inn, sea shell cabanas are amazing, room was clean and air conditioning was great after a hot day at the beach. The beach is walking distance and is like a private beach owned by the hotel

Rooms are OK. Budgetary hotel. Beach is just walkable distance. You can spend lot of time at beach. If I r pure vegetarian will be difficult.

Nice location and spacious rooms. Would get 4 stars if the breakfast was fast (☺) and spread was better. You need to tell them well in advance if you want to have dinner, else plan to go out.

Mildew smell in our room and we found 2 roaches in our bathroom and a lizard. I've smelled the mildewy smell before in a room with bedbugs (not saying I saw any). Their walls are paper thin and we woke up due to a baby crying at 6am in our last day of our honeymoon in Sri Lanka and before a 23 hour voyage back home. When we went to breakfast they had left a plate of stale food out from the day before, uncovered, for people to help themselves to. Their greeter was unwelcoming and didn't smile at all. We tried both nights to eat dinner at their restaurant, despite that no one was there and that no other restaurants were really open for new year, and instead of accepting and welcoming our business they encouraged us to go elsewhere. That's fine. We went to the resort next door and spent 13,000 rupees for delicious dinners. Money they could've had though. Very disappointing on their part considering that their menu looked quite nice. Some of the staff was friendly and smiling but it just couldn't erase that anger I felt when we were leaving. And we had two nearly perfect weeks everywhere we went in Sri Lanka until this place.

Worst experience across all Sri Lanka. Poor vibe and extremely run-down amenities. Don't trust the images you see on various booking sites, it all reveals a lot different.

very nice and luxurious rooms and bathroom, with access to the beach which is approx less than 100mts away from the hotel. The beach is superb and love its calm and peace surrounding.

Poor service. The staff is not friendly and well trained. I'd consider going to this place again as it is a budget hotel but if they change the staff or train them well.
