Palaviya is a junction on A3 road. You pass this when you traveling from Colombo to Puttalam. If you turn to left you can go to Kalpitiya. Not a early morning town. You have to wait until 7 to see true activities of the town.

Its a very basic small town (outskirt off Puttalam) where we take the LH turn to go Kalpitiya. We found a small restaurant Anura Hotel for lunch.(Rice n curry ). The food was good.
