The area close by offers some excellent European style eateries. I recommend heading to one, grabbing a chair outside, relax and tuck into the mixer seafood platter. You won’t regret it.

A few bars and restuarants here, weh a nice terrace and balcony. We had cocktails at Sugar and wine, and then food at tequila mockingbird. Both excellent. There are also a few shops here but we were not interested

Cool space with a a variety of shops located within. If you have time for a drink, go to the second floor and go to the bar there, have a nice cocktail or beer while watching the sunset.

A nice place to stop for that quick coffee in the evening. The place is set in a really nice location at the old dutch hospital and try sitting outside for an awesome view with your coffee. They also offer snacks and main course items - though we stopped just for the evening coffee.
I had a frappe and the Mrs. had a flat white. Was prepared with care and we enjoyed it. The waiters are courteous and smiling. The prices are a bit on the higher side but the ambience and the setting makes up for it.
Definite recommendation if you are in the Old Dutch Hospital area!response / report this review -

An historical building restored to house restaurants in the Colombo CBD. looked great when it was opened. Now let to run down a bit. Yet good place to enjoy a drink in the evening and for those with $$$$ to spare the Ministry of Crabs is a nice place for lunch or dinner.

Such a nice and elegant place to be! Lovely restaurants, and many more! If u like to eat Crab dish, this is the best place to be! U cam find the one and only Ministry of Crab restaurant there! Food there is amazing!

Lovely place in Galle. Upper floor restaurants do have the nicer views on the sea and light patterns. Don't miss to walk around at least if you are passing this place.

Nice building. Nice to walk through. Several restaurants and gem shops are there. Have a parking next to building, but all the time it is very busy and very difficult to park there.

Was apparently a real hospital in the olden days and has been created into a food plaza. Charming ambience and a good selection of eateries and bars. Pricing seemed on the higher side.

nicely built. There is no A/C inside so can get hot. A lot of nice restaurants. prices can be high.. mainly catering towards foreign tourists..
