A group of friends and I visited several times during our stay in Mirissa. They had excellent food. We tried various spaghetti dishes and they were all great. The Greek salad was yummy. The tomatoe soup was good. I also liked the battered chicken.

They sell you a very small fish as a “fish for 2 persons” (2.000Rp). It’s not. We were still very hungry. Despite of that the fish is fresh and tasty.

    Lazy staff and disappointing food!
Double as expensive than many restaurants on the beach and the food that we got served felt like cold leftovers.
They could manage to open a beer but that was when the staff feelt like working.
Will not recommend this to anyone and will never return. There are so many good restaurants on this beach don't eat here.

Sat for ages and staff, despite acknowledging us, did nothing. Eventually went to the bar to order. Waited ages to realise our food order had not been taken. Then waited some more for the bill. Staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves and doing their hair than serving people -- there were a fair few customers looking back to the bar in total dismay.

I'm happy to pay a service charge when there is service, but I didn't pay it this time.

After being seated we asked for a menu three times before receiving it. The food was among the most basic and plain dishes we've ever been served at a restaurant. Maybe we were unlucky with our selections but still. Poor service throughout and when asking for the check we had to ask for it, you guessed it, three times before it ending up on our table.

Sea food was excellent, but definitely more expensive than other places. Service was an absolute disgrace, from sitting down to taking my first mouthful of food took over an hour. Asked for a beer 3 times and got a rude response from the wait staff for repeatedly asking. Very good food let down by pathetic service

Excellent fresh fish! You choose your fish straight from the daily catch in the local Mirissa Harbour and prices are excellent. "NILA" will help you with your choice and the price. Wear sandals as the sea can tickle your toes. Great music, laid back atmosphere. If you want "fast food" this is not for you but if you want really good local grilled fresh fish and a lovely soft evening under the stars then go no further.

Choice spot to enjoy some drinks as the sun goes down. Lovely staff who have everything you need from a reggae bar (yes, they do). Pumping reggae beats all night, it's a must if you like to roll up and enjoy a few quiets at the same place.

Waiter was rude. Demanded a tip before he had even brought my change back. Plenty other decent places to drink in Mirissa. Avoid this one.

Although the juices are fresh and tasty, the food unfortunately leaves something to be desired. The meat on the mixed grill course was quite dry and leathery, and the pizzas, although not horrible in taste, were almost 40% melted cheese. It's quite obvious that the menu is priced based on location and not the quality of the food.

This place does not cater to customers. They cater to rich people and white skin. As long as you have money you can go in but if you own a Sri Lankan passport even if you have dual citizenship, they treat you like dogs. I'm sure that's not what customer service is because I'm in customer service in the city of Colombo. These guys should be closed down because they beat their patrons. I have been mentally and physically traumatized by the security and owner of this place. The owner himself and the PR guys beat me up on false accusations. I challenge them to check their secure cameras to see if what they claim is true. It is true that the people that come there, foreign or local, may be intoxicated, however the customer service does not include beating up customers purely based on their nationalities. I'm never coming back here again.

You literally won't get served here unless you are a young woman or group of young women. We found it quite bizarre actually. Making money just doesn't seem to be a high priority for them and either is customer service. The only reason I give it two stars is that if you are actually looking for a lounge chair or table with little to no need of buying anything, this is your place. The one time we got to order a juice, it took over 30mins to arrive. For service, much better places like mirrissa eye

We (young couple) found this place to have expensive food and incredibly slow service - unless you are a solo female or group of girls, in which case you get much better service! Our food arrived maybe 45 minutes after ordering, and the side dishes were cold. When I told the waiter he checked the temperature of the food by touching it with the back of his hand and told me that it was fine. I insisted that it was too cold to eat and that he had touched it so he begrudgingly took it back for a new one. At the end he informed me that the 10% service charge was government tax and stood there expecting a further tip despite the awful service.

We won't be going back here and I wouldn't recommend others do - there are much better choices around!
