Bad will be an understatement. One of the worst stays in Srilanka so far. Room was stuffy and small, very small window and to top it all a side fan which was not working properly. The lock of the bathroom was not working. There was no quilt or blanket in the room. No water, no phone to connect to the reception. Asked for coffee and it was like asking for diabetes- only sugar and no taste. Not recommended at all.

Located by the beach and good place to stay. Rooms are good in condition. Service is good but they can't speak sinhala.
Food is not tasty as they cost.
Beach is only one minute away and visited in November, off season, calm and relaxed beach.
Don't forget to see the sunrise, coz it's Eastern beach of srilanka.

Very calm & cozy place. they provide a good service. rooms are clean and nicely arranged. they provide extra mattresses if you need. prices also reasonable. 20-30 meters to the beach so that you could get a great view in the evening.

A hotel situated an isolated area in Kalkudah. Hotel staff are ok but they are being called with code letters like KP,SR,KF etc etc. They will not tell their names. Spacious hall is always vacant without staff. If you go there you will feel to be alone. Good for backpackers and budget travelers.

Medium budget and good facilities. Not much on the menu but the beach close-by adds a great value. The beach is just a few mins walk . A very quiet meditative beach. All you could hear are the waves. A great spot for sunrise and a relaxed morning shore walk

The place is okay. The rooms were not that great. Some rooms had issues in the electrical systems and even the fit and finish of the restaurant is not that well done. Only good thing is that the beach is barely occupied by tourists or locals so you can enjoy a peaceful time at the beach without any interruptions.

This place is a hole. The room had only a single tiny window, the main complex was deserted and felt like a haunted house. The rooms door was making noise/sounds all night long

Place is good. Services and not bad. But they belayed our breakfast for 20mins. but the food is good. They are having a private beach near hotel @ kalkuda. close to main road and also to the kalkuda beach.

Shabby chic, with a "the shining" charm to it. If you don't mind spiders it's a fine place to stay for a cheap nights sleep and a long empty beach (2/3km to nearest restaurant). If, like me, spiders terrify you, do not stay here!

You can enjoy the beach freely without outsiders. The staff lacks knowledge in languages other than Tamil

We traveled in a group, booked A/C rooms but A/C was completely out. Food was terrible, We ordered BBQ but gave us precooked fish and fried prawns and chicken. But they charged us the BBQ price,( there was a BBQ grill outside), communication is very difficult as they dont know English or Sinhalese.

Nice & calm place to stay. Food is ok. Reasonable rates. But don't book an economy room. They are so small & no attached bathroom. Even no a/c there.

Nice and clean rooms for a really good price. Helpful staff. Not directly on the beach but the beach is very close and nearly deserted. You can have the whole stretch of sand only to yourself in low season.
