The food was fresh but taste and quality was verage. We were having problems communicating in English. We have been waiting lots of time to be served. At the end, the value for money was also not the best. Maybe we were in the bad moment. But I am not sure why this restaurant has deserved TripAdvisor recognition.

We had grilled chicken and grilled calamari. I liked the chicken my girlfriend not a lot her calamari. Maybe the plate is not enough filling if you are a starving man, but can be ok for woman or for "not eating a lot people". Prices are a bit higher than other restaurants around but maybe quality is a bit better.
Service is good and careful.
Banana chocolate roti was one of the best I had in Sri Lanka.response / report this review -

Best place to eat in Nilaveli! Tuna steak was the best we have ever had. We went here three times over our four nights in Nilaveli. The staff was very friendly. We waited over an hour the first night because they were so busy, but the other times we were served v quickly. Highly recommend as we found no where else as good!

Very friendly and attentive host. Low prices. Seafud noodles were tasty! Do not recommend to order anything with beef as it was like rubber.

Take the BBQ fish and the chicken Kotthu, just the best in nilaveli ! :D prices very reasonable, and staff is always smiling!

Amazing rice and curry, not too spicy, plenty of flavour, beautifully presented, chef gave us food to share, and then other dishes were offered up on recommendation, as well as some explanation on how the food was made. Managed to try some drinks and two desserts that weren't even on the menu, and the owner organised a taxi van for us for the next day. One of the best places we've been in Sri Lanka so far.

Unbelievable curry and service! We loved it so much we came back the next night. Best curry we’ve had in Sri Lanka and the guys that work here are so friendly. Highly recommend a visit. Thanks so much for the two great nights we spent at your restaurant

Stumbled upon this joint while searching for food options in Nilaveli. What a find. Probably one of the best meals I've had as a tourist in Srilanka. I had the chicken curry which was an absolute gem and my partner enjoyed his Prawn curry and rice. The food takes sometime as everything is freshly made. The hosts will even ask for your preference in spice levels before making it. Do not miss this if you are around Nilaveli

The best food in town. Super delicious rice and curry, banana chocolate roti and bbq with seafoodwe tried almost every dish of the menu: all of them are really good.
The owner and his staff are amazingly friendly and can handle with any service request you gotthey recommend good places to see or stay, driverswhatever you want.

Great place to have breakfast. The banana roti is a must. Super friendly waiter and it had a warm feeling to the place, the owner clearly cared about what he was creating here. Loses one star as a bit prices compared to other restaurants around
