Educational tour of a tea factory available. Helpful staff.

Interesting to see ths process of making green tea. The tour is however a little limited, the tasting as well; one type is given without any further information.

I did the tour here. I made a day of it doing Little Adam's peak and the 9 arch bridge with this in the middle. The tour goes around every hour I think. The tour isn't great tbh. The lady who does it only knows exactly the bits she said and nothing more, she didn't really answer any questions. It's also a bit rushed as well but you get to drink some tea at the end so that's something.Probably better tours though in Ella.

Green tea factory which shows about manufacturing green tea. Ticket is over priced which was 500LKR per person. They are offering a green tea after showing you the factory. Try to go there by after 10AM unless the factory is not running fully you will be able to get to listen only to the explanation by the demonstrator.

The worst spent 500 rupees from our whole trip! The tour is done in 10 minutes, the guide looks very annoyed not giving absolutely any details. If you want to buy green tea, just visit the shop, or take a picture of the plantations around, but I wouldn't go for the tour. Recommend you to do a tour in tea factory in Kandy or anywhere else. It is for free and 100% more interesting.

Nice little factory tour and tea tasting. It's not immediately obvious what the deal is when you arrive but if you just wait downstairs someone will come and sign you up for the tour where they'll take the money (500) and fit you our with hair nets and covers for your feet/shoes. I also did a free factor tour somewhere else in Sri Lanka and I felt like this one was a little better as the factory was in full swing and we could see everything that was happening.

The tour was done in 5 minutes. The guide told us nearly nothing. If you don't have a time and you happen to be here because of Little Adams peak and you are interested in tea processing just go here but don't expect much. Uva Halpewatte tea factory is way more better and we were lucky we had been there after this sloppy tour.

We visited three tea factories in Sri Lanka and we wanted to go to this place for its focus on producing green tea. We got a tour, just for the two of us, by the manager of this factory. We had to wear a hat and shoegloves for hygienic reasons, which is good we think! He explained every step of the teaproduction and he was able to answer all the questions (a lot) we had. He was very open and he talked English very well. The tour ended with drinking a cup of green tea. The only thing is that we think the entrance fee is too much (rs500) and it would have been nice to see the plantation.

a nice looking factory but the tour is quite short and costs 500 LKR but you get a free taste of their premium green tea. It's not amazing but it's not completely disappointing either. if you have half an hour to spare then I guess you could give this a go.

Nice place, very good explanation, RS 500 per person. It's very close to Adam's Peak and nine arch bridge, so you could visit the three places easily in the same morning

Nice place. We got cup of tea, but it was not strong tea, like water. Tour was quite short, but I could understand the process how green tea is producing. You can buy green tea and it is cheap.
