After our journey across Sri Lanka, right before our flight back home, we had to learn more about the incredible singalese’s cousine.
We had the pleasure to meet this amazing couple, we spent up to three hours cooking by ourselves so many different curries that we later ate as our lunch.
The teacher is so talented! And to us this is the best way to end a journey here!

This cooking class was an absolute highlight and the perfect end to our trip. Erangi heartily welcomed us in her home. We prepared different curries together and then ate them. The best food we had on the whole trip! Highly recommended for everyone who wants to learn how to cook typical Sri Lankan rice & curry.

We had a most enjoyable afternoon with Erangi learning to cook classic Sri Lankan food in their home. Nuwan picked us up at our hotel and we visited a vegetable market where we brought the ingredients for our class. He explained the different types of vegetables and we chose the ones we wanted to cook. We arrived at his home and we were welcomed by his wife Erangi with tea and Sri Lankan cookies before we started the class. We dehusked a coconut, taken that morning from their own tree, and shredded the flesh to make our own coconut cream. We then chopped all the vegetables under her guidance and prepared the 12 different curries. After about 2 hours we were sitting down to eat the product of our efforts. Delicious!

Highly recommended for food lovers who want to learn about local foods. We have not eaten a better curry since we arrived!

    Awesome experience

Me and my wife did the afternoon class which was a awesome experience .You get picked up from the hotel in a nice car and then we went around the local veggie market and got all the stuff we needed.

We then went to there home where you do the cooking class in a nice big kitchen , they were really good intructers and we made some fantastic tasting food.

The only problem with the tour was I couldn't finish all the awesome food as you cook so many finish 5 stars for a cool authentic Sri Lankan cooking class.

Nuwan and his wife definitely made our trip worth the visit! My boyfriend and I contacted them last minute on our last day in Negombo and they were so kind to give us the class.

We didn’t manage to take a cookery class during our trip but we are happy that we found this last minute!

    200% recommend.

You start the class from picking a coconut outside and end up eating the best meal you would have had in Sri Lanka, made by YOU!
