  One of nagathampiran kovil in vadamaradcy. He kappal paddu(ship song) festival very important. More people came to here.natural beautiful aria. Here more land Sandy sand.

  Popular old hindu temple with word of mouth stories of snake (Nagam) saving local people. A very old tree is seen in front of the temple. Calm and nice place to visit and worship.

  This temple deity supposed to have saved the children who were taken by Dutch. Dutch tried to take children in a boat. But they could not because the boat was full of snakes all of a sudden. Only after all the children were taken out of the boat snakes left the boat. This incident used to enacted every year in a festival. It was know as I also Thiruvilla (கப்பல் திருவிழா) in Tamil I.e Ship festival. During war between govt and rebel forces, it could not be held
