Good place to have a break on the way to Central Hilly Area of Sri Lanka. Food is tasty. But expensive. But there are no entrances for wheel chair people. You have to climb stairs to get to the restaurant and it is uncomfortable even for disables people who are using clutches. You can have a picturesque view of a waterfall from the top of the restaurant. place is clean. Washrooms are also available.
Great place for some authentic Sri Lankan tea country food. There is old school charm and is a lazy laid back please place. Go there when in no hurry service is excellent and friendly. Great view if the central province mountains and landscape
So majestic place! I always go there when I am passing this place! Tasty tea with a nice views! I am not forgetting to purchase lot of BOP tea bags for my home too! The best Tea Place!
Located in a very nice place. Great place stop for a rest. You can see Devon falls. Parking available. Nice garden.
Well this is the only place where there is hope, other than his marvellous castle like restaurant I'll be dead by now. I had such a great time and the view here is just awesome, service is priceless, unique hygiene tasty food, restroom facilities available. If you are anywhere near nuwaraeliya you must try out mlesna 💘 I'm so into this place
Great view from the top. Refreshing tea (both iced tea and normal tea) You could avoid the cakes. They are not the best.
This place is a good stopover coming back from Nuwara.
It's basically a tea showroom. Selling all kinds of tea- OP, BOP, BOPF and green and white tea.
It has good views as well.
Strange castle structure built in the 1900's by a Scotsman serving as a tea house / tea shop with a museum and a viewing tower added in for good measure. We had a tasting there that took place in a small little cubicle, it was too cramped to really enjoy. The food is good apparently but we had no time to try.
Had lunch & famous Dimbula cup of tea with aroma in it. Of course nowadays you cannot get a unadulterated cup of tea as it's always blended with other inferior quality teasor the tasteless tea bags. The staffs are awesome. The place is just nice and clean.wide selection of tea
I'd say a must for everyone!
Lovely little tea demonstration and tasting. Staff speak excellent English and are so helpful. Lovely cafe and beautiful views of the waterfall and tea plantations. The teas and accessories in the shop are priced for foreigners so it is quite expensive compared to other places.
You can also buy a ticket here to go on a tour of a tea factory where the picked tea leaves are processed. You will have to tip the factory manager who runs the tour separately at the conclusion of the tour. Be prepared to get tea all over you and to see some harsh realities about tea production. I recommend the tour as it is fascinating and you won't look at a cuppa the same way again!
Nice Tea Stall, next to Devon Waterfall. Nice stop just to have tea and snack as after windy roads, it is good to have small break. Colonial building. Having rest room facilities. Can buy Mlesna brand tea also there.
A great place to take some rest on your way to nuwaraeliya. You can try high quality cup of tea. Place is clam and quiet. You can have a nice view of Devon's waterfall which is close to this place.
Excellent service all-round.
Staff very professional and friendly.
Tea was exquisite and was served with jaggery which made it even more better.
The fish patties ordered was one of the best patties over ever had.
Washroom facilities very good and clean.
An excellent place to taste SrilLankan tea and purchase tea. There are also exhibited some instruments related to tea factory and awesome paintings . James Taylor statue is the highlight!
One of famous places among travelers to Nuwaraeliya via A7 highway.. Grate place for a rest and taste a high quality cup of tea.. Guaranteed it will take your breath out.. The museum must be improve, and the help from staff is low for the local tourists.Slightly prices are high, but that feeling cannot be measured in price Cheers..!!
It's a must stop, the castle atmosphere hits you just as you sight it. Excellent tea centre ,restaurant, and facilities. Try the chocolate cake or butter, its awesome.
Don't forget on the way to drop in there. It's wow. Have some lunch and tea. The best
Neat and clean place. Decent restaurant. Fall visible but from a distance. Staff pretty friendly
Good tasty food. Serves hot. Reasonable price. Great view. Good staff. Great place to have lunch. Recommended for family and friends.
Nice place to stop by for refreshments or just to rest. Named after Mr. Taylor who introduced Tea to then Ceylon. If you are a foreigner & want to buy gifts for your friends there this is a good place. High quality tea is available for here.
You can have some rest and most importantly relaxed in here. Tea quality and taste is very good.
Very nice place. Marvelous ambition perfect place to have a quality cup of tea with the best view of Devon falls
Located in talawakelle, near devon falls view point and it's a comfortable and well maintained place to have a tea and some snacks on the way or way back from Nuwara Eliya. Beautiful views from the top. One of the best locations to relax during the long drive. There's a tea shop if you are interested in buying tea (green/flavored/herbal etc).
