This place is not very good. The outside area is decorated with string lights/fairy lights/ Christmas lights which is fine except some of them are solid while others are on an epilepsy-inducing flashing setting while others are colourful and slowly pulsating. Very distracting.
The food is expensive. One pizza is minimum 1300 rupees. I asked if the "Quattro fromaggio" pizza had tomato sauce since the description was unclear. "Yes, yes," I was told. So we ordered it. They served us a free appetizer of two small bread rolls. Little did I know my one small appetizer loaf would be larger than my half of the pizza. When the pizza arrived the first thing I noticed was the lack of tomato sauce. The crust is paper thin so it was really more like a snack of cheese and crackers for the price of a meal. I'm guessing there were only two cheeses on this four cheese pizza. The meal lasted one minute. Next time I will just buy cheese and crackers and save myself some money.
The waiter caught me outside to give me my hat I had forgotten. Plus one star for that. Thanks, dude.
If you like not having money and also like cheese and crackers and also like lights flashing in your eyes then this is the place for you.
Best italian food in Sri Lanka if not the best i've ever tried. If you are bored of Chicken and rice you should definitely go there. Staff was always friendly
Great food! Good price! Perfect to escape from daily seefood&curry mealt.
Super sweet service and a cozy atmosphere. Best pizza we've had in Sri Lanka - excellent place if you are craving real Italian between all the curry!
Pizza’s good. Grilled chicken would taste better with more sauce.
We had the seafood pasta and the penne carbonara. Both were delicious and very good value. Seemed like pretty authentic Italian flavours to me, but I'm no expert. Highly recommended.
Exceptional and delicious freshly cooked food. The bread rolls with the tangy tomato sauce was so good. Prices are reasonable. You have to try the food at least once. You won't regret it.Friendly staff, clean venue and has free wifi. Service was very good. Would definitly go to this restaurant if I return to Mirissa.
Nice pizza and nice people. When you need some variety from the Sri Lanka food, this is a great place. Pizza is around 10 dollars each, we ordered 2 pizzas for 3 people and they gave us the leftovers in a box. Also, they gave us some free bread that you have to dip in tomato sauce.
We had a pizza there good taste place is cool friendly staff worth a try
Wonderful seafood pizza and calamari served with roast potatoes and spinach. All beautifully cooked and presented. Fantastic food.
We had a very nice experience at Margherita Italiano, the pizzas were cheesy, fully packed with toppings and delicious and the service excellent. I can recommend the mixed sea food pizza. For Sri Lanka, the Italian part of the food was a bit more expensive but taste wise fully acceptable. :) if I come to mirissa again, I'll surely pay another visit.
I was surprised by the very authentic Italian experience that I got in a remote place like Sri Lanka. The pizza was delicious, and the service was pretty good.
Amazing food great service, went every day during my stay in mirissa
We had two lovely pizzas which were very good. The service was impeccable, and the tables inside even had the advantage of being air conditioned. Would definitely stop by here for a tasty break from the Sri Lankan cuisine.
The service was one of the best in Mirissa: fast and careful. Pleasure comfort place. But the food was not excellent: pizza was very dry, pasta was near OK.
