This is the best place to watch flamingos in Mannar. However, they only reach here around 10 am in the morning . You will be able to go very close to them ( less than 30m). You need to get down at the salt factory gate and walk about 300m. The best way is to go round alone the road over the salt factory and check whether they are there. You can clearly see them if they are around. Then you can walk inside after obtaining permission.
There are hundreds of them at a single place and you can easily spend hours there. However, they are not the migrant group and as per the information gathered, you will be able to see them any day of the year.response / report this review
