Mind you they don't allow food to be brought in from outside and charge hefty prices for food items inside. There is a 100 "rent" for 3D glass. (liberty doesn't charge this). picture quality is not that good nor the sound.

Good place to watch a movie. Would go at a non busy hour and book tickets early so as to miss the mob like crowds for the latest Hollywood blockbuster. They should do more screenings post midnight.

(platinum) Employs are careless about seat numbers. Hence we had to argue with some people who were sitting on our booked seats. 3D glasses were used before so there may be stains on the glass which makes difficult to watch. One of my friends got a 3D glass with its arm broken. So it's better you check the glasses at the entrance. More preferably bring your own glasses coz glasses they provide are below average. I can't say the seat arrangements are ideal. Corner seats may give cramps on the neck. Even in the middle seats due to lack of slope the screen may be covered with other people. Gap between seat rows are extremely narrow so hard to go here and there. 3D experience is average i guess. Pros were air conditioned, seats are comfortable

We arrived 1:30 before the show to purchase tickets. The ticket counter was closed and they refused to sell us tickets, saying we had to return 30 min before the movie started. When we returned, there was a long line for tickets and only one register open. They would not allow us to enter the theater until the movie was scheduled to start. So everyone was waiting in a tiny space just outside the theater entrance. Talk about disorganized As an added bonus, they stopped the movie after 1 hour for 10 minutes to sell popcorn and soda.

Not the best place in Colombo to watch a movie. The Platinum cinema is okay. The screen is small but clear. Superior is okay but was really warm when I last went. Gold has a really good screen but the AC can sometimes get too cold. Pricing is a bit too high considering that movies were shown in 3D only in Platinum. The plus point is that the 3D glasses are very clean. Platinum screen really needs an upgrade if Majestic cinema is to compete with Savoy 3D and Liberty. To watch a no mal movie it's a good cinema. But if it's a really good movie I don't recommend going to Majestic as you don't get the best movie experience.

We came to watch Black Panther, and the movie shut off about an hour in. Lights came on and we sat and waited for quite a while before they got it turned back on. I could forgive the confusing entrance process and the questionable concessions, but not having the movie actually play straight through is inexcusable. It’s the one thing a theater is supposed to do correctly.

The ticket counter and the people behind the counter are very worse. No friendly approach , even no any proper responses. If we talk to them in gentle manner, they try to override us. So go with strong voice. The normal theater counter support is better than this cinema. Very disappointing with this. Issued the tickets the time to start movie and allow, in side 10 minutes after movie started.

Their website don't have email to contact, why is that? If they have put an email up I would email the management and ask to have some couches on the top floor, why do people have to stand up and wait? If they have couches people would wait for the movie while having a snack from the snack bar, instead most people go down to food court and have something coz who want to wait standing.

You can watch 3D movies here. Parking is available and it's a such relief. 3 Screens available, picture quality is fine, it would be better if it comes to a higher standard.

A theater complex and not a single theater. All theaters are bit small but consists of all necessary facilities. 3D movies are available to watch. Theater sounds are comparatively good.

Convenient place to watch 3D movies 🎥. But the sound and picture quality is not up to standard. Only reason why we’re going there is ample space for parking. Recommend.

Saw a movie Bahubali version Tamil in majestic bambalapitiye night show 10.30pm after the interval they switch of the air conditioner till end,very worst it was bad experience dt 07/05/17..

I had a very very bad experience at the majestic cinema in jaffna, I m so frustrated that bought a ticket for a 6.30 show and went inside they were saying that air condition was not working and they still charging Rs.500 for a ticket even they didn't provide a fan at least, I would like to tell this official frankly,if you can't provide the finest services plz close for a while and rebuild it. Better luck next time.

We all get a such a bad experience today in Ceylon theater platinum. in jaffna north part of Sri Lanka, they're charged for each tickets Rs500. But they don't have air-condition or fan facilities can't even breath because they got a fully air shield theater. Once they close the theater when the air condition fully functional work or they offered some air ventilation function.

It is conveniently placed, in a mall and has ample parking space for those who have a vehicle. The theatre has good facilities and a clean snack bar. The service was alright, they help and guide people who are new.
My only dislike would be that, their ticket prices are higher than their competitors, not not too high.
Overall it's a clean, nice place to go catch that movie.
