Excellent refurbishment of the cinema. Extremely clean. Absolutely comfortable seats. Canteen is slightly more expensive over the other cinema canteens

Considering the entire cinema as an experience it is still average (even after the renovations). The lobby is terribly small and definitely cannot accommodate a premier event. Seats are quite comfortable with ample leg space.

Sound and video quality is fairly good nothing to complain there. The 3d glasses are of good quality aswell.

Liberty cinema has become an excellent cinema after the recent renovations. It has become one of the best in the country, recounting the original quality it once had long ago. One of the best features after the renovation is the increased incline of seats, which now reduces much of the distractions. Liberty will be one of my first choices going forward for movies.

It's gotten so much better after renovation. Has multiple theaters and usually good movies are available. The seats are comfortable and the screen is better too. 3D experience is much better compared to other cinemas in Colombo. Enough parking space is available as well.

After the renovation, Liberty by Scope Cinema is wonderful. They have two halls. Hall 01, located at ground floor, and Hall 01, located at upper floor. Both hall’s screen size is equal, and, hall 02’s seating capacity is very less. However, I would personally prefer hall 02, since the hall size is small (not the screen size) , I feel we get the maximum feel of 3D movies. The seating is really comfortable with adjustable back rest, and sound also excellent.

New cinema. Friendly staff. Good selection of food. Late night shows need a bit of café action to keep the cinema goers entertained. Good and safe place to watch a movie.

The cinema downstairs is the best. It is huge and comfortable too.

Don't get confused with scope cinemas and liberty lite. They are two different cinemas. Both are next to each other. Right entance is to Liberty lite and left to scope cinemas.

First of all, Scope Cinemas and the Liberty Lite are two different places. (As I understood)
The Scope Cinema is the one on the left side from the road side. It has 2 screens. The one I went is the one on the ground floor. The seating is really comfortable with adjustable back rest. Great sounds. Great visual quality. The staff is really friendly. The place is in overall great with a new look. And no intervals so grab your popcorn before going in. Both online booking and buying tickets at the place itself are possible.

Newly refurbished and under new management, Liberty by Scope is definitely THE cinema to go to. With luxurious seats and an over all clean cinema. The picture quality and sound quality of the movies are extremely good.

If you are planning to bug tickets at the cinema, tough luck, because the only way to book tickets is online. Which is probably the only Con here.

One of the best cinema hall in Sri Lanka. Film hall consists with very comfortable chairs, a giant screen and superb sound system. They always screen latest Sinhelese, English or Hindi movies. Normally there are no rush in weekdays shows but in the weekend shows, you better book your ticket early. Online ticket booking facilities are available. Parking is also available. Great experience indeed.

Bugs everywhere.
We went to see MAYA last night and was got in to great trouble while watching the movie as bugs started bite everywhere touching the seat.I was keeping the hand on the seat and I was bitten severe times badly.

We were sitting in the last row of the balcony it is one of the best seats to see the movie but liberty was not up to standers and caused us this insect trouble.

Starting from security to ticket checker the place has no respect to their customers.poor management.

If you are going please do not choose seat NO A3 ,A4, which we were sitting yesterday.

After all I think this is Definitely a NO GO place in a city as we have many more places to go for a movie.
