  I’ve been living in Sri Lanka for 18 months and have been looking for the right place to buy gems. Laksana was the place for me! Excellent customer service - very helpful, but not pushy or obtrusive in any way - I felt comfortable to browse for awhile without any pressure to try things on. The the designs were quite varied and the staff were really patient while I made my selections. Prices were very fair for good quality products. I chose a ring that needed to be resized and they were able to do it for me overnight. All in all a fantastic customer experience and I would certainly recommend it!

  This is how all jewellers should be. No pressure to buy, honest pricing, a family-run business that has patiently built its reputation over the long term through consistently outstanding service and of course superb jewellery.

  Absolutely amazing customer service. We stayed for a few days in Amangalla and visited this store to buy jewelry. We ended up buying few pieces and left happy. However, there were earrings we should have bought but for some reason we didn’t. On second part of the trip we went to Tangalle, which is a town some two hours away. And we decided that after all we really wanted these earrings. We contacted the owner, who on the next day sent his own son to deliver jewelery. 4 hours driving to make the customer happy. Amazing. Fantastic level of service.

  I have never feelt so unwelcome in any store. I came to this specific gem shop based on reviews. They hardly smile to me and in 3 min sad that i have to leave cause they are going on break. I said that i want to buy a ring. They suggest that i would check other stores around. So sorry.. no please come back. Really??

  Excellent stones for very competitive prices. Great selection especially of gems from the region. I've literally helped a close friend buy his engagement ring here.

  Lovely jewellery shop with a huge selection. Visited in March 2017, and can highly recommend it. There any many jewellery shops in Galle fort, lots of good ones, but found this one to have to best selection, and very reasonable prices. Bought several pieces, and some loose stones to have made into pieces as well.
