Sacred temple at a village in Peradeniya. Easy access. Very calm place. Can talk to Buddhist priests there and get meditation.

This is one of ancient temple ( or Purana raja maha viharaya) in Peradeniya area. Temple is very quit and calm. Temple was built around 1750. Access path is quite narrow but it is not an major issue. Around 15 to 20 monks resident here and learn buddisam in nearby piriven. The chief incumbent of the temple rev. Polonnaruwe Sumanasara thero well maintain the premises.

Kurukude purana vihuraya is one of most Calum full temple in peradeniya area. Maintaining and planning are well state.

Good place for Buddhist people to visit. Access road is narrow. Parking is a problem. But can park outside the temple. Plenty of parking spaces available near electricity board.

Calm Buddhist temple and keep mind clear. All facilities are available and temple premises has a nice view of Hanthana mountain range.
