This is a place you must go and visit if you been into Mahaweli dam. This place has a nice architecture as well as a silent environment to pray and worship. you can walk inside of the Stupa and do whatever the prayers!

Nice place, cool environment, Good spiritual place. This was built in 1980's to memorize people who scarify their native lands, assets and their belongings for the development of Mahawali promramme. Thsri e mahawali program was the biggest irrigation related development in Sri lanka. It covered about 1/3 of the country. Kotmale is the 1st dam constructed under that program. Minister Gamini Disanayaka was the ground braking guest of the mahaweli maha saya. It was completed by his son Minister Nawin Dissanayaka in year 2016.

Wow. One of the amazing places ever visited. This was opened for pilgrims in 2016. But one of the best places to visit along with Kotmale dam and Old Kadadora purana viharaya. Sunset can be amazingly seen to the spot and I have added a photo of that. Wow again!

This thupa is one of the most amazing engineering and architectural creation. Any one should visit the place to experience the great surrounding view and the only hollow thupa in Sri Lanka.

Mahaweli Maha Seya is a great construction in SriLanka.Its a very calm and quiet place. You can see Kothmale Dam also from there. Atleast one time please visit it.
