The best part of this hotel it's right on the beach at a great location for a reasonable price. The rooms were ok but the bathroom was not very clean and many of the fixtures were corroded. Our tea pot had an exposed, fully corroded heating coil. The toilet was stained, the shower fixtures were rusty, and there was no hot water. Their breakfast buffet was not appetizing. They served a few Sri Lankan dishes as well as western non-breakfast items such as pasta. Some of the restaurant staff was rude and not properly trained.

Hotel location was good. Right on the beach. Beach was very clean. Hotel rooms were big enough, but the bathroom were a big disappointment. Not clean, taps were corroded. Bed linen had holes, Beach towels had holes too and were stinking.
One of the restaurant waiter was very rude and misbehaved too.
Rest of the staff was very polite and helping.

Place was not upto standard, sub standard water systems, there was a rude waiter in the restuarant and the drivers quaters provided to my driver was like a hospital with facilities way below the norm. Eg. Had stained bedsheets which were blood and some other stains as well as, the matress were all worked up, my driver was afraid of having a pain in his spin and the toilets were absurd. Coming onto my problems torn matress and towels with holes were provided, water was able to be used only on one object at a time if it was the tap then the shower would not work and vice versa, even britsh guest complained to me that she didnt have proper access to hot water. The list keeps going on and on

I have been there in my Summer holidays, this year, between August the 30th and September the 19th. The hotel is very nice, the staff is excellent and very professional ; breakfast, lunch and dinner are very good, with lots of different kinds of food ( both asian and european ). Rooms are clean and wide ( with a very appropriate room service ). The swimming-pool is very good ( with its own bar service a lots of space around it ) and a fantastic beach is 20 meters away. I intend to go some more times to Sri Lanka and I have no doubt I will be based there. Obviously I recommend this hotel.

Expect comfortable and spacious rooms by the beautiful beach. U'll find fishermen on stilts just 300 mtrs away from the hotel. Pallatable cuisine with decent spread.

We stayed overnight in a weekend. Since the welcome staff was friendly and efficient and we received the room no time. The deluxe room we received was in the ground floor facing the beach, therefore the access to beach very easy. However, there were limited space in the room and the furniture was equivalently antique as the hotel.

The main restaurant was in the first floor with open view to the sea. The food was more Sri Lankan oriented with less continental variation. Taste was average. Restaurant staff was friendly but has to improve with the service.

We were staying in Koggala Club Village and had lunch in Koggala Beach Hotel. Food was amazing. Also they have infinite pool and really good beach next to the hotel

My daughter and I went by train. First impression was what a remote area but when we went in to the hotel we were given a warm welcome. We were early but we were given a room in quick time. The room was very spacious n cosy overlooking the beach. The food buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner with a scrumptious spread to choose from. Look for the wonderful Duminda Kumara at the Restaurant who will make u feel most welcome. The staff were very courteous and friendly. Their service was excellent. The beach is awesomewe had a short but very enjoyable stay.
