  Even though this is katunayake railway station This is far from airport. Use the EPZ station ( before katunayake station from colombo side) if you need to go to the airport.

  Closer to the International Airport. But cant get the comfort transport from here to the airport. Only three wheeler [ auto , tuk-tuk] is available.

  Can catch many trains heading to Negombo, chilaw, puttalam, or to Ragama, Colombo fort, up to Panadura. Some railway staff may not be that friendly as one would expect, but you can collect many information related to train rides in Sri Lanka. Not to forget that this is a quite a good place to watch BIA airplanes landing and take-offs.
