  Parking is very far from the temple. You need to park in the city centre and walk about 2km to reach the temple. Do not try to use the VIP car park. The access road is a mess.

  Kiri Vehera, Devalaya and entire premises is sacred places for both Buddhists and HIndus. This place is very famous for worships and for blessings. plenty of places are available for Rooms. But better you book a place for staying before you come to katharagama. Do not follow Fruit Shop people's advises. They are helping you just get some money.
