Not clean at all. Do not recommend for anybody. When I visited about 20 years ago, even though the infrastructure was not built as today, the place was clean. This time (in 2018) I didn't even bother to go down the stairs.

Very nice place to go on leisure time. There are seven hot water wells are available. Theses are in different temperature. This is located almost 200 meters away from the main road. Many buses are available on the main road.

There are seven hot wells and all are not same. Temperature has variations.
Famous among the local tourists.
If you are a foreign tourist, it can't be a worth visit.
Can not be highly recommended for foreign tourists!

This is also good place. Infrastructure Facilities to be developed in this area. You can have a nice bath with pure natural hot water with different feeling. Children also can bath. Better you can bring some basket.

Great wonder of nature. 7 wells 7 temperature levels. People should experience this wonder and immaterial whether you are a local or tourist. It is about 8 km from the town.

Popular tourists destination in the eastern province. There is a historical value to this place and it is named as a archaeological reserve. There are about seven different hot water wells located in the place. You can have bath direct from it since the water temperature is not very high compared to other similar wells located down south of the island.
However it is best to restore these places and uplift public utilities and preserve the site for future generation.

This location is Archeology place where there is connection with the earth magma, yet its in a safer way old mythical stories which was driven from our Ancestors have told to us that the Great Rawana King is the one who made these Hot Spring wells.

I have being to this location, its barely clean where the wells are, because the well water contains large amount of Alkaline. Due to that reason people bath in that location leaving all there junk. Also the washrooms near by are very bad to even get closer. You visit this location when there is no rain. For a better experience.

Kanniya Hot Springs is famous hot well in Sri Lanka from the past. There are seven wells in a square shape. Wells are only 3–4 feet deep and you can clearly see the bottom. The temperature is considerably high but vary from one spring to another.

It used to be different temperature against each wells, unfortunately when we were there All the 7 wells had the same temperature. Bathing is not separated for gents and ladies. Entering ticket 10 rupees. Parking & Public toilets available.
