I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it ended up being really disappointing. I would not recommend staying here unless you don't find a better option

Here are the main problems with the hotel:
1. The air conditioning only worked at times and only in some rooms - we had to change rooms and wake up in the middle of the night because it got too hot
2. There are no shades or blinds in the rooms - so you are going to wake up super early and miss those afternoon naps
3. Toilet and shower didn't have a curtain, so there was zero privacy in the room when using the toilet or shower - we duct taped a towel on the glass to create some separation
4. Only the rooms in the main building are new, the one that we initially got in the side building was stinky and had not air or light, since the windows were locked with metal wires and couldn't be opened
5. Internet hardly works and you have to reconnect every 8 hours via codes from the main desk - not critical, but annoying as hell

Management is well aware of the issues but doesn't seem to have the capability or resources to fix them, so I don't expect anything to change anytime soon.

On the positive side, though the hotel is not cheap, it's not expensive either compared to high end hotels in Kabalana. The hotel has the best location just in front of the main surf point in Kabalana and has amazing views, a great pool and OK food.

Attend to a wedding ceremony. Location has good views and good food and nice concept of architecture. But all the stewards dressed up with a t-shiret and even some was wearing shorts. They say its for there convenience but its not acceptable to a wedding. Some photographers of the wedding has people with shorts which is a disaster.

The hotel looks quite pretty from the outside. The rooms are big and nice furnished. Location is also very good, right close to the surfing area with a nice sand beach
What really bothered us was the beds were really hard, but you get used to it. The top of the bathroom is shared with neighbors from the other room, so you basically hear every small conversation and the toilets business, very weird The rooms on the ground floor are really dark and moist. We also found huge cockroaches. We changed the room next day.
The staff was a couple of very young and unexperienced boys who were singing and talking too loud.
Food. Dinner was quite good, also OK prices, but breakfast was not nice. The bread was minimum 3 days old, moulded. Fruit plate was full of gnats One more good thing was the smoothies, very fresh and delicious.

Overpriced food and drinks. Slow service in restaurant. Very tacky decoration and in Jan 2018 still not finished. We got a new room on the top floor where the top 1m of the wall towards the neighbors was open so you could clearly hear the neighbors taking a leak. Also the bed was stone hard and I normally like a hard bed, but this was too much.

Positives: Good interaction with the manager. Direct access to the beach. Our room was clean and the wifi was great.

The architecture and decor of the hotel is a fusion confusion. And by that I mean it's an eyesore. If you can look over that fact, it's actually a pretty decent place, with good food, facilities and helpful staff.

Hotel is overall average. Sea view from hotel is very good and is a good spot for surfing. Staff at the hotel is very cooperative but are not professional and needs more training. Rooms are spacious but furniture is minimum. Air condition and water flow could be a problem in some rooms. Menu available at the hotel also has limited options.

Amazing Disney style kitsch hotel. Asia's first ever Egyptian Hotel! Should be popular with Arabs and Muslims. However a huge investment indeed and absolutely perfect in every single detail

Had my wedding in their new reception hall. They promised us that they can host for 300 people in the hall. But they could only accommodate only 260 seats. We got a free room after the wedding. Room was nice. There were some hiccups in their service. Took about 1 hour to prepare our dinner. And had a problem with breakfast too. But other than that, this is a nice place for a couple getaway.

Hotel looks very nice but maintenance can improve.
The pool was dirty during all our stay
The restaurant has nice food but the place doesn't looks good at all.
The power always stops and therefore the ac in the room is not always working.
They have 2 types of room and I think the ones on the main building are nicer.
The beach is great!!!

Absolutely horrible. We went there during the New Year holidays. Beautiful hotel and staff good. That is all. Food horrible, just basic, we eat better food at home during a meal. When we pay high rates we expect a good meal. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We booked the hotel on the sampath Bank card for two nights and it is a total rip off. We got 50% off on Sampath bank credit card but to our dismay the place was a total mess. No GM, only the Front office guy is there to handle everything. The food was basic home cooked meals and not worth for the monies spent. The room was not bad, but the Air Conditioning was low since there is only one vent for the air to flow in. So we were asked to pay for two nights and at the end of the day we just could not stay the second night, and we requested for the refund. The front office manager very promptly refunded one days stay by cash. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed.

Despite very polite and nice people, the experience we had wad pretty bad. When we arrived, the 2 rooms we had booked were not available, so they said we were upgraded to two different rooms. Not sure if our was an upgrade actually. The rooms were big, it is true, but with very little furniture, not comfortable at all. Amazingly we found that our bathroom was connected through the top of a separation wall with an open space of 1 Meter more or less amazing, you are forced to share with your neighbour, whoever he/is, the typical noises, smells our whatever produced in a bathroom unbelievable!!! We were lucky, our neighbors were our daughters then, as a very good reception surprise, we found out there was no hot water for the showers. The power was on and off every now and then as a compensation, we were offered a free dinner at the buffet and there were taken the pictures posted of course, we didn't have this terrible buffet for dinner so disappointing the following day, we were out for the whole day visiting different beautiful beaches, turtles watching, Galle, came back at 7:00 pm and surprise, bedroom not cleaned, no internet, hotel telephone did not work, indeed increíble. We stayed 2 nights, and despite we wanted to move somewhere else for the second night it was not possible as we did not find with so little notice, any 4 or 5 stars available hotel very disappointing
