  Iranamadu Tank (Tamil: இரணைமடு குளம் Iraṇaimaṭu Kuḷam; Sinhalese: ඉරණමඩු වැව) is an irrigation tank in northern Sri Lanka, approximately 3 mi (5 km) south east of Kilinochchi.

  Reservoir in the middle of dry land which goes bone dry in dry season and supplies essential water around Kilinochchi area after wet season. Real spectacle of water in harsh North Province.

  In 1902 the Director of Irrigation H. T. S. Ward came up with proposals for building a new irrigation tank on the Kanakarayan Aru.
  Construction was completed in 1921.The tank was 6 mi (10 km) long, 1 mi (2 km) wide and 34 ft (10 m) in 2012.
  This constructions are continuing.
  It is situated 3.5km away from the main road. Later part of the road is not good. But can drive any vehicle.

  Used to provide water to Kilinochchi. Later destroyed by LTTE. Rebuilding is on progress these days.
