  This is a power station generating electricity from the water in this Dam. You can see how electricity poles radiate from this place. There is a beautiful sunset over the water in the evening. But better to leave before it's too dark because of wild elephants in the area. There is a statue of the man that built this dam and the huge mountain behind him is symbolic to this place.
  There is only one entrance and exit to this area. It is by the small statue of Lord Buddha at the end of the dam road.
  
  There were a lot of tiny insects by the weeds too.

  Wonderful Dam which gain the maximum benifit from comparatively shortest length
  making the largest reservoir of Sri Lanka
