One of the best hike I had in my life,view from the top is priceless and no camera’s gonna able to capture that much beauty,path to the top is full with leeches,there’re like millions of them,use salt or lime to avoid leech attacks,path to the top is very unclear and u can easily get lost,so cautious of where’re u going

Nice mountain gives a amazing hike. On the top the view is breathtaking. You can camp and spend the night. If you er lucky the milky way can be visible over the heads. Amazing place but if you happen to visit there do not put waste and polythene there. Do not destroy the beauty

There is just one bus going near to the climbing point which is the Laduyaya bus. There are about 7km from the main road. It's not a complicated climb as the route was clearly marked with blue tape at certain locations.

Challenging mountain a little off Belihuloya. You can access it via Balangoda too. If you're traveling from Colombo, take the 99 bus- Colombo to Badulla. Get off near Belihuloya rest house and ask someone to point you in the direction of Hawagala. After that all you have to do is climb. There's a little blue house at the base of the mountain, ask the old lady there to point out the path. The path takes you around the forest at the base of the mountain and up, through the easiest path to the peak. Remember to take loads of water especially if you're camping.
