Hatton railway station is big and main railway station of upcountry Sri Lanka. Hatton railway station is at between Rozalle and Kotagala raiway stations. Every train stopped at Hatton railway station. There are about 4 railway platforms at Hatton railway station. Two main reserviors of Sri Lanka closed to Hatton. Those are Kasalri and Maussakele. Bogawanthalawa, Norwood and large number of tea estates closed to Hatton. Several waterfalls also can be visit closed to Hatton. Hatton railway station has two bridges over platforms to people and one bridge for vehicle. Hatton is very famous for Ceylon tea. Several tea estates available at Hatton place. Adamspeak (Sri Padaya) means Samanola Kanda is at 36km from Hatton. Closest railway station to the Sri Pada is Hatton. There fore December to May season is very important to Hatton railway station. Sometimes Bus services and railway services joining together and supply their service to pilgrimage visitors.

The Hatton railway station is situated between Rozella and Kotagala railway stations. It is in Nuwara Eliya district .Busiest railway station in Sri Pada Season.Sripada season that begins in December and ends in May and is point to encourage pilgrims and travelers to continue their journey in happy from the railway station by public or private transport service. Furthermore, The Sri Lanka Transport Board mange a Joint railway-bus service to pilgrims that start from Hatton railway station with every railway turns in the Sripada season.

This is one of the busiest railway stations in Central Province. Several facilities are available including public car park. Thousands of passengers use the station during the pilgrimage period (December-May) to Adam's Peak (Sri Pada). The station provides a special waiting room for pilgrim visitors (during the Sri Pada season). A joint railway-bus service also operates between Hatton railway station and Sri Pada (Nallathanniya) for pilgrims.

From Hatton Railway station to Sreepadaya Mountain very closed. Public bus service any person can used to travel Sreepadaya. From Hatton town buy fruits, bread specially Siddahlapa Barm very useful during your journey.

hatton railway station is Situated between Rozella and Kotagala on Main Line.Consist of 4 platforms and 3 of them are used by passengers.Known as the busiest station in the Nuwara Eliya district.Approximately 1 Million Passengers use the station during the season of Adams Peak.

Historical Place. Nearest Railway Station to "Sri Padaya". Also popular with tourists who traveled to "Ella". But lack of Facilities. Not Proper Rest rooms, Toilets. I can't satisfy with the food outlets. No Wi-Fi. Sitting are very old & uncomfortable for long wait.

Nearest train station if you are going for Adam's Peak. Ticketing office opens 30mins before scheduled trains. Taking the bus costs 70 rupees and is an hour journey to Dalhousie.
