Saturday it's open. Don't rely on the general phone line. It will be not answered since they are busy. Prices are really worth, as it's funded by the government. The doctors are very kind to animals.
I'm so disappointed with their service. 11/2 months before we took our female dog for the sterilise surgery. The person who was doing the surgery very carelessness. After the surgery they didn't cover the wound. We thought they did the surgery completely but now my dog has started her heat period. We checked with another doctor he said that they didn't do the surgery properly. They charged us 3500/= plus some medicines. Now what is this? Again we need to do it. We didn't want to see our pet dog is suffering. 😡😡😡 if you guys treat the animals properly please handover to someone who can do it. Now who is going to pay for it?
So disappointed and not recommending anymore 😡😡😡
Good place to treat your pets. Doctors are caring although sometimes minor stuff is not helpful. Only treating and consulting during 9.00am - 12.00pm due to lack of veterinarians there.
Went there with my dog and they just gave a few injections saying it's just an infection without even taking a blood test or a proper examination. My dog died a few days later. Turned out she had tick fever and could've saved her if she was correctly diagnosed by a blood test with proper treatments.
Staff Only focus on leaving the permises.
If its 2.30 they are not even wait for 1 min. Even if work not yet finished. That's why we lost our cat.
Worst service
When it comes to government institutes in Sri Lanka, it's usually easy to assume that the staff is lazy and unfriendly. But at the Veterinary Hospital- Welisara, it's a different story! I'd say the staff is friendly, they're also doing an amazing job.
Lot of facilities for pet care are available for a reasonable price but the place is crowded. The staff on site are helpful.
