I went here along with a group. It is a very nice place surrounded by tea plantations. The tour on tea making was very informative. The tea shop has a variety of teas. Do not forget to pick up Cinnamon tea and Cardamom tea. Cinnamon tea is very good for diabetics

This tea factory is situated in beautiful hills covered in tea plants. Guided tours are available in various european languages as well! This factory produces top quality tea and you will have an opportunity to stock up on amazing tea for reasonable prices. The restaurant gives you an opportunity to sample different types of tea as well. Washroom facilities are clean as well.

Tea factory that provides a small tour of the factory and explanations of the processes along the way. Really helped me learn about the different teas out there. At the end, we did tea tasting. The family ended up buying lots of tea as well. Nice quaint place in the hills of Nuwara Eliya

There are many Plantation Factories that are open to the public to visit. Our Guide took us to Glen Loch Tea Factory. We saw the growing shoots being dried then rolled to get rid of the moisture, sorted, fermented/oxidised for the flavour of black tea. We were then given samples of the various grades of tea. Of course, the tour ended in the tea room with sample of the teas for purchase. It is a tour for people curious to know how tea is prepared from the plant leaves.

We stopped off for an unexpectedly fantastic tour of the factory and complimentary cup of tea afterwards. We bought some delicious cakes too. The explanations were fascinating and the staff were so welcoming. We couldn’t help but buy boxes of tea as souvenirs in the shop afterwards which were very reasonably priced, and there was no pressure to purchase at all.

It is my first Tea Factory visit in Sri Lanka. It is Good. The person explained in details every thing. They have made clear explanation on each variety of TEA. Especially White Tea, which I don't know so far. Please don;t miss it. it is near to Pinnawala elephant orphanage. we can taste the different variety at free of cost and if we wish, we can purchase also.

Not recommended. We were assigned a guide to show us the tea processing process. She just repeat information and do not seems to be eager to answer our curious questions. Then, we were brought to tea tasting and the tea is tasteless like water. However, you can also visit the tea picking areas. The tea picking lady is eager to show us the tea picking process. 5 star to the tea pickers and thus we tipped the tea picking lady accordingly. Zero star for the factory.

Brief tour all designed around tea sales at the end. Doesn't include a tour of the tea plantations or pickers.
    Tea super expensive.
    Still, the factory was interesting.

A really great place. The experience was really great, especially for people visiting a tea estate for the first time. The staff was very welcoming and kind. The service was also great . The staff showed the whole process of making various types of tea after which samples of the same tea was offered for drinking . They also have a small restaurant where you can have a quick bite. The location is also splendid. The tea tasting was a really different experience and will be enjoyed by all. It will be a good stopover for all the tea lovers in the world.

Great location and friendly staff. Got to try 4 teas at the end of the tour that was packed full of info. Would liked to have been able to try other infused style teas lile strawberry or vanilla. The chocolate stall was a great combination with the tea.

The have one of the oldest factories and a nice tour that is about 10-15 min, then the shop where you can taste the tea and buy if you want, good tour for understanding, but the shop is expensive, only buy the silver / gold if you want, else buy from somewhere else.

Great place! Real tea factory. Not modern but old and native. Is it expensive here? Sure! But it's not easy to get great tea in your local store. For people who really understand what good tea should be.

Informative visit but it could have been significantly enhanced if a trip into the tea plantations was on offer, a good experience but not a full one.
