  Nice little place next to the railways. Service very friendly, some of the food tasty some very salty. Handy for hikers returning from Ella rocks.

  It has decent food and at a convenient location if you're on your way back from Ella rock as it is the first restaurant you come across. I don't recommend the lump rice because it is a little insipid but I can recommend the rice with chicken curry mixed. It is like a fried rice but with fat rice. Very tasty.

  really nice stop on the road to Ella Rock! we had fresh Juices and boiled vegetables with french fries! i recommend this simple dinner, really tasty!

  Very cheap place but full of very annoying insects, git is the middle if the woods). Very little atmosphere if you are the only dining couple. No music, not much conversation. Food was good but on the second visit I had the 'yello' curry that was full of roasted chick peas so hard they nearly broke my teeth.

  Noodles and fried rice were delicious. Also owner treated us with mangoes and bananas.
  You'll get nice view to garden.
  There are a lot of flying midges, but it is open air terrace in the tropics:)

  This cute little place is along the railway tracks south from Ella station. The owner was very sweet even though his English isn't great, you order by number as I think he has a separate menu in sri lankan with corresponding numbers. I had a breakfast of string hoppers, potato curry and daal, it was really tasty, can't get enough daal here.

  It's okay. The beef mussaka is okay. My father in law's chicken curry was mixed, while my sister's chicken curry was separate from the rice, which is really weird. A bit slow on the service side (as there's one old man serving). Menu in english but easy to miscommunicate and get the wrong order! We came here for dinner, so can't really see if there's much view. Ordering lassi is always the best. :) Small restaurant, so if you come as a big group, prepare to wait.

  This is the best meal I have had thus far in Sri Lanka. It was only my circumstance that brought us here but the food was great and the staff were very friendly. The prices are also very good compared to most other food places in Ella city. The views from the restaurant are also great.

  Great place to get a cool drink and a bite to eat after coming down from the hike. Friendly staff with reasonable prices.
