One of the main Railway Stations in the province. All the trains including Commuters and Express Trains arrive and depart from here. Not a busiest Railway station. You will get easy access to Galle Main Road and Galle Town as well.

I got a train from here to Colombo. It's pretty easy to buy a ticket and like all train journeys in Sri Lanka is fantastically cheap. If you are returning to Colombo I would highly recommend taking the train journey as it's absolutely beautiful

Decent train station with trains to Colombo but make sure you go to the loo *before* coming here. The signs say toilets but not as many will recognise as being toilets - just a dirty hole in the ground. Also, beware the dodgy tuk-tuk guy if you come out of this station at night who will quote you double - ignore and go elsewhere.

Galle railway station is a railway station in the southern city of Galle in Sri Lanka. Railway station is near to the Central bus stand Galle also there is a cafeteria inside the station.You can buy quality foods from it. Trains are go to Matara,Aluthgama,Colombo Fort ,Maradana, Vavniya,Jaffna from this Station

Polite staff and efficient train station with only four platforms. There is a small kiosk selling fried goods and soft serve. Seats on the platforms and an overpass. Toilets are horrendous so be warned. Once out front it is a short walk to the bus station but beware of traffic and touts.
