They had highway buses here. But due to the pandemic situation, i guess, they don't have any highway bus in here. You need to take a bus to makubura and then take necessary highway bus. You need to take 138 (homagama) bus to go to makubura. Thank you.

Galle, Matara and Elpitiya Highway buses available. Only getting passengers to seats. No proper place for waiting. Bit highway buses are quick in service.

You can get Matara, Galle, Aluthgama and Kadawatha highway buses from here. The buses are in excellent condition and you can travel to above mentioned places in no time

You can take the highway bus to Mathara or Galle from here. In rush hours there may be a long cue. But during the day time the buses aren't even full.

Im explaining the rude guy from the bus that I have a $1000 equipment in my medium size back pack that I need to take with me up in the bus, he refuses, so I ask him if he will be responsible for it. He just turned his back, got in the bus and left with leaving us standing in the street.
