We stayed in the villa, part of the hotel, slightly up the road. We understand that this will soon be converted to a Spa. Being a little way from the main hotel was not clear when we booked but wasn't a major issue. The main feedback would be that the beds were uncomfortable.
The main hotel was lovely, a beautiful building with what looked to be lovely spacious rooms. Outside there is a nice pool and gardens to sit and lookout over the amazing beach. Also in the garden is the restaurant. The food here is ok, and well presented. We asked for so things off the menu the hotel staff were happy to accommodate this. The menu is relatively standard but the quality of the food is good. The service was generally attentive, although sometimes a little slow. When no one else was around, a salad took 30 minutes. Next to the restaurant is a shaded chill out area.
Without doubt the main attraction here is the beautiful beach and amazing views. Truly outstanding. If he hotels along the beach could work together to spend ten minutes a day clearing the beach it would be a close approximation to paradise!
WiFi is available and generally good connection. One of the rooms in the hotel has a small book swap shelf.response / report this review -

Excellent value. Amazing pool and view. Great service from staff. Room was fabulous with air con and a hot shower. Very clean. The garden is gorgeous.
Staff even arranged to do our laundry for a very decent price even though this is not a service they offer normally.
The tea and coffee are delicious.
The beach is incredible!!! Absolute paradise.
Breakfast is good (not great) and in general I would recommend eating lunch and dinner at one of the two local restaurants (Muthus and Sea Dragon Restaurant) along the beach (1-3min walk on the right when facing the ocean) versus the slightly overpriced “western” food in the hotel restaurant. (although it is also good food, eg they have a real wood pizza oven, if you don’t want local food or you want to eat late - as the other places close around 7:30/8:00pm).response / report this review -

Beautifully appointed rooms and grounds, helpful and friendly staff, ohh and a cinnamon wood fired pizza oven!!!

This is by far the best place we stayed during 2 weeks in Sri Lanka, the suite is second to none.

Very clean and tidy, wonderful beach front and a great pool. Food is delicious and you must try the authentic wood fire oven baked pizza.
