Had the kottu, it was light and delicious, the owner, and chef, is a gentleman, and his restaurant is authentic; not easy in Ella these days. Also note that there is no wine or beer available or allowed.
This place is expensive. We were not so hungry and intended to share one meal, but we were not allowed. We decided to leave the place immediately. The guy can't speak proper English too.
I feel bad leaving a negative review, as the staff and owner were really nice. However, food wasn't great. The beef curry was lacking flavour and the Khotu wasn't as a good as other places in the area.
I ate at a few restaurants in Ella and this place was the outstanding place for Sri Lankan food. Curry and rice was excellent and the Kottu was delicious too. It was great value. It's downside is its so close to the busy road it can get very noisy.
Good price and quality. The menu states that you have to order 1.5 hours in advance but we waited only for 20min (the restaurant was also almost empty). Recommended anyway.
Lovely food, service and price! Great
Excellent restaurant in Ella. Decent place for decent people; no party crowd here; Rice and curry included some dozen dishesall served meticulously in fine cutlery. Right on the main road, but quiet, away from the noise and music..
Pricier than other options in town but good taste and free curry refills. Still notnexpensive
Go for the curry and rice hoppers. Amazing mango lassi too. Authentic home cooking and a good selection to experience the flavours of Sri Lankan cooking. Delicious!!! Also has good wifi.
Family run restaurant that offers amazing fried rice, curries and noodle hoppers. Very friendly service and clean.
