This school ticks all the boxes. Small class sizes, exceptional exam results, friendly staff, family atmosphere.and fun! Lots of it. Students flourish at schools for good reasons. At EMS, it's easy to see why. Each student, in whatever year, is highly valued. There are no cliques or 'rogue' students. From the 'bully-free' ethos installed at the Junior School, there is a pervasive atmosphere of goodwill towards one another. Both schools are too small in size to allow egos to flourish. Students are given plenty of opportunity to flourish in all aspects of school life and you can't quantify the commodity of confidence. I feel blessed to have taught at both years for several years.

Elizabeth Moir and her daughter Tashi favour the students who are coming from extremely rich families. They do not care the other students. They say teachers are not allowed to go to children's birthday parties But, they both can be found enjoying themselves at rich children's parties. ha..ha..ha.. LOL. Moir can not work with people, that is why she quit CIS and British and now finally have her own little kingdom. Her daughter Tashi has the same poor qualities. Our children were treated very very badly by both of them and we were very heart broken. We had to consult counsellors to rectify the damage they had done to our dear children's minds.

When I was searching for a school for my Advanced Levels, I got to know about Elizabeth Moir School. I decided to join and I can say with confidence that it is the best decision I ever made in my life. The teachers were the best. They put their heart and soul into the development of the children's education. The standards of learning were very high. The environment encouraged us to compete with ourselves and do better everyday. They also provided the learning equipment to achieve a better understanding of the course material. Most of all, there was Mrs. Moir. She inspired me to do well and make the best use of my abilities. I am forever indebted to her for the opportunity she gave me to become who I am today. What I learnt at the school is still helping me today as I am reading medicine. So happy and proud to be a student of Moir.

An amazing school which excels in every area that you'd look for in a school which include world class academics, championship winning sports teams, and many extracurriculars that allow you to find your niche and shape your personality. The student to teacher ratio is assumedly one of the best in the country and they are not only fantastic teachers but also great people that will support you outside the classroom too.

As a past student and an academic scholar at Moir, I had an absolutely fantastic time there! The classes were both academically challenging and intriguing. Taught by some of the best teachers in Sri Lanka, both local and foreign, in small classrooms I never felt left out in class. Moir not only provides a sound academic environment but focuses on leadership and community service. It was at Moir I discovered my passion for leadership and community service. During my four years at Moir with the guidance of many figures, I was able to develop and enhance these skills. All of which later helped me become the 1st Sri Lankan to secure a full scholarship to the International Economics program at the University of British Columbia, which only has a 5% acceptance rate. This goes to show that Moir’s dedication to academics and students’ well being truly pays off!

A school like no other. Great students, great teachers, family atmosphere, a sense of fun and a method of learning by participating and experiencing. A place where you can learn and grow in a fun and nurturing environment.
