They are crazy once we call and ask for a room, operator says they do bookings only when we go there… but once I call 3 days prior, all the rooms are booked!

Bad Service. we don't recommend to anyone. only one power outlet available on the room and it's also a two pin. we are not able to connect atleaset a mobile charger onto that. NOT RECOMMENDED

Visited on January 31 of 2018. They never told me that their place has no signal on dialog mobiles phones. got a AC room for rs.2500. but it's giving for 21 hours. Unfair. when you paid the money and if you need to check out after atleaset 10 minutes they will not REFUND Any money. on the room their is only one 5A 2 pin socket which we can't use for a phone charger atleaset. I am totally disspointed with their services. I don't recommend them for Tourists.only limited vehicle parking available.due to no signal and no power outlets on the room i've gone to another private hotel. it's price was rs 2000 for a AC room with better facilities with 3 power outlets + AC + Clean bathroom. The receiption owners don't know how to talk to their customers properly.The one who is in receiption was disgusted.atleaset don't know english. I DON'T RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE IN SRI LANKA OR FOR ANY TOURITS. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY FRON USING THEIR LOW QUALITY , UNFAIR , DIRTY SERVICES.i am also a buddhist. but this people don't know how to do a fair service to us. but my next visited rooms service owned by a muslim. he did a great fair and clean service for us. i am shame about this Dutugamunu Rest!

Good Place if you are looking for a place very close to worship sites. Walking distance to Thuparamaya and Ruwanweli-seya. A/C rooms are bit below standards and not maintained. You might get disturbed by pilgrimages who wake up early morning as there are dormitory to accommodate many people.

A place to stay if you are in Anuradhapura.

As the name says, this is for the pilgrims who need a place to rest.

There are some rules to follow here.
You can see them framed in the rooms.

No drinking or partying or merrymaking (playing music and dancing and etc) allowed.

There is a kitchen where you can bring your own supplies and cook.

The staff is very friendly and helpful.

You can choose from a small affordable room to a comfortable A/C rooms which costs a bit more than a normal room.

Parking space available for limited number of vehicles.

The gates are closed after 10pm and remain closed until the next morning. You need to book your room before the closing time.

The rooms are moderate and are fairly clean.

The bathrooms are moderate (the space is very small) for rooms with attached bathrooms. The cheaper rooms doesn't have one attached. A public bathroom is available for them.

Don't expect too much (what you will get at a more expensive place) from a place like this.

A place to stay at a fair price. But the maintenance is non existent. When I was staying there at the beginning of 2016 and got a room with a broken lock on the bathroom. I went there again after 8 months and got the same room. The lock remained the same, broken and useless.

💩 This place has less or no regard towards its customers !.. We booked the place early for a room with 3 beds but when we arrived at the place the manager told us that they are unable to provide a room with 3 beds. I don't know about their A/C rooms ,but the room we got was utterly disgusting. No curtains on windows / can't close the windows properly / there was only ONE electrical outlet available / had to go to a far away corner close to the toilet to find a THREE PIN power outlet !. But the attached bathroom was clean though 😳 No decent place to get a snack close by. Waste of time and money.
