I’m horrible when it gets to writing reviews. It’s taking me ages to do it. But today I was going through pictures from last year trip to Sri Lanka and I finally got to the point to do it 😂 I think that was most amazing trip I ever took. I had great friends with me that took extraordinary effort to research the place and organise everything. It was 2 weeks full of activities, going from one city to another every single day. I don’t think that would be possible without our guide and driver- Mihir-cherry on the pie! And that’s review about him! Great person, amazing sense of humour, working whole day to guide us through this amazing place. He was keeping us out of trouble 😂 that for sure. He was translating for us whatever we needed, showing most unusual things that we wouldn’t even think about to see. He was arranging things like visiting old fashion spa with saunas looking like wooden coffins 😂😂😂 where I got the most amazing massage ever. I found out how to cook real Sri Lanka food in one of his friends houses when he saw that’s something I’m interested in. He showed us the real world there and that was the best part of it- getting to the inside of real life, tasting traditional food, seeing tea plantations and how factory’s work, showing to us herb and spice gardens that produces cosmetics and natural medicines. On top of that I laugh so much with him 😂 he’s really great guy! If you want to see the real Sri Lanka that’s your guy! I highly recommend him! Driver in Sri Lanka tours it’s definitely my choice if I will come back. I never felt safer so far away from home like he made me feel. I didn’t have to be worried about anything- I felt like if there was a problem it was solved before I even thought about it. It was pure pleasure to spend this time with such extraordinary person who simply loves what he’s doing. And Mihir!!! Till the end of my life I won’t forget You on the dance floor 😂😂😂 You rock!

I booked Driver in Sri Lanka Tours based on the positive reviews and it did NOT disappoint. The quote given was fair and the best of the 8 different companies I contacted. Rohan was in direct contact with me and was quick to respond to any queries which I had. Our driver, Rad, was exceptional during our trip. He was naturally a comedian and also attentive and considerate throughout our 6 day tour. He was great at suggesting alternatives and points of interest which we otherwise would not have gone to. He was also an excellent driver despite the somewhat chaotic driving in Sri Lanka and we felt safe throughout our travels. His customer service was excellent and he was perfect for us. I recommend Driver in Sri Lanka tour on all levels in terms of value for money, communication before the trip and quality of the driver. Also request Rad!

Excellent service. We were a group of 14 and got guided by Janith (Jani), he helped us enjoy everything Sri Lanka has to offer. Always helpful and also not afraid to take initiative. Recommended!

Easily booked and great service from our driver Shashika. Our 14 days in Sri Lanka were very busy and I don't see how we would have seen everything we wanted to without his help. Very punctual and polite he brought us to our destinations safely and in time. 10/10 would highly recommend!

We contacted several potential drivers for our 10 day stay in Sri Lanka, but Driver in Sri Lanka Tours were the best communicators and gave us the bespoke itinerary we wanted for a good price.
We were guided by Rohan and a driver and had a very well organized and hassle free trip around central and southern Sri Lanka. Rohan really knows Sri Lanka well and the tour was always professional and got us to many places we could never reach via public transport. Highly recommended.response / report this review -

We booked our driver through Sri Lanka Tours with the help of Rohan Fernando, really appreciated the advice he provided to make such a satisfying trip. We had someone to greet us upon arrival in the airport and official started our trip with the driver few days later . Our driver Janitha Withana Pathiranage is a very professional, polite and friendly and helpful driver. He introduced lots of good places for us to see and good local restaurants to try! Really enjoyed the trip with Janitha during our 17 days in Sri-Lanka!

I had a day-long layover in Colombo and reached out to Driver in Sri Lanka Tours very last minute to arrange something. Rohan responded quickly and set me up to spend a day in Kandy. Airport pickup was straightforward and easy, and my driver Kumal was very friendly and helpful. He suggested many different activities and let me choose the ones that best fit my interests and budget (e.g. spice grove, botanic gardens, tooth temple). Would definitely recommend!

We used Driver in Sri Lanka for 6-day visit to Sri Lanka in December. We knew we had a limited amount of time in-country and a lot of things we wanted to see and do. We considered using the train and bus system to get around, but end the end decided to go with a private car and driver - which was the best decision we could have made! The cost was fairly minimum for the service provided and allowed us to change our itinerary as needed (which ended up being a life saver since the train workers went on strike and no trains were running).
Our driver was Soori, and he was the perfect match for our needs. He provided us with a lot of history and information during the drives and also recommended places to stop along the way. He made our trip stress-free while also giving us the freedom of doing things on our own that you can't get with a traditional tour company.
I emailed several drivers, and the quote provided by Driver in Sri Lanka was not only the lowest, but the most transparent and all inclusive of any quote. Rohan was very easy to work with and very communicative throughout the entire process. I would recommend this company without any hesitations!response / report this review -

We had booked for guided tour with "Driver in Sri Lanka Tours" in the 3rd week of October'2017 for 9 days trip to Sri Lanka. It came out to be very fine trip and we covered Dambulla, Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Elliya, Tissamaharama, Mirissa and Bentota. We took support for transport from this tour Operator. This tour operator is very sincere and took extra care to make our tour comfortable and enriching. The tour guide provided to us for the entire journey of 9 days was quite helpful and professional in completing our trip successfully within the planned period.

It allowed for great flexibility in accessing sights.

I've been 8nights trip with this company. The tour guide, Rohan, is very reliable and an energetic doer.
He arranged everyday schedule and explained every spot. Also, he is very punctual guy he was always wating in advance. We were fully enjoyed in Sri Lanka due to his support even we are only 2 female tourist though.response / report this review -

Went on a 9 day tour of Sri Lanka after booking a driver with this company through a recommendation. We had a very loose itinerary with the main cities and attractions but our driver Anura was incredible in showing us much much more. He was very helpful in situations when understanding costs and fees with locals! Would definitely return to of this great country and book with the same company. 👌🏼

Rohan was our guide for an 8 day tour of the east coast of Sri Lanka and it was brilliant. The driving was smooth, safe and comfortable. The guide was friendly and beyond helpful. We were able to fit a lot into our trip with the help of Rohan and company. We would definitely use this company again.

Great driver at an affordable price! I quoted several companies/drivers and this was the best offer. Our car was spacious and clean and our driver was fantastic. He was very accommodating, knowledgable and safe. I would highly recommend Driver in Sri Lanka Tours for your tour/driver needs.

My girlfriend and I were heading to Sri Lanka for a well deserved break and had been advised that one of the best ways to get around was with a driver. I feel that I was so lucky to come across Rohan and Driver in Sri Lanka as we have just returned from a fantastic break. Rohan was able to advise and quote on a couple of options for the week and we really appreciated his flexible approach- we chose our itinerary but Rohan was able to recommend accommodation, restaurants and activities along the way. Leading up to the holiday, Rohan responded promptly to all my questions which meant that we had a good plan in place before leaving. Rohan's day was done, when we were done! He also went a little out of his way and collected us from Hikkaduwa and brought us back to Negombo before flying out and then also took us to the airport at 3am- nothing was too much!

These drivers are mislead you most of the time. Not about your hollyday. They think what they can get , what they con earn, how to maximise there profit or income. Your interests , your satisfaction they want care. If you book the destination which is interest for you which is not access easy they discourage you by telling lice. These people think first only there comfort. When they book such a destination they first contact the hotel then ask " did you provide any drivers accomadaition?" If the answer is "NO" then they discourage you by telling so many things. If these people tell something NEGATIVELY please surf twice in online by various information sights is it correct.

We had a perfect tour with Driver in Sri Lanka. First we thought about doing a trip on our own, what we normally prefer. But we heard, that a Driver in Sri Lanka is absolutley useful, because of the crazy traffic. On the other hand, you will loose a lot of time if you travel by train and bus. So we can say after our trip, that it was the Revision was absolutley right! When we got in contact with Rohan, we first talked about the trip and the places we wanted to visit. After Rohan had arranged the perfect trip for us, we had to pay 20% of the total amount before we came to Sri Lanka, which is more than fair and absolutley necessary for the company to organize and book the trip.
When we arrived in Sri Lanka, we got picked up by Rohan and the driver Samantha. Both very kind and friendly. Ehem er First met, we gave the rest of the money for our Trip to Rohan. The Trip was worth the Money!!! The driver Drive very careful, always felt save. The car was good, every say it was Clearstream by the chauffeur. Rohan is the perfect guide, he knows everything about Sri Lanka, the places, the Culture, the People the food and interesting curiosities.
We are absolutely excited and hooked by our wonderful Tour. Everything was perfect organized.
Rohan sets value on organisation, accurancy and kindness. He really does a very good job!!!
Every day of our tour was really special. We saw ancient temples, die a safari, have been to the rainforest, jungle, indian Ocean and mich more. We could bot have seen more of Sri Lanka in that time.

We had a wonderful experience in Sri Lanka with Rohan and his superb driver Manju from Driver in Sri Lanka Tours. An amazing itinery was organised for my family – ranging from seeing the elephants at Pinnewalla, safari at Yala, to venturing into the mountains of Nuwara Eliya and fabulous island hopping on the Madu River – plus much more. Throughout our tour of Sri Lanka we were updated with interesting cultural insights and all questions were answered comprehensively as Rohan has such wide local knowledge of all things Sri Lankan.
We knew driving in Sri Lanka could be ‘erratic’ but nothing can prepare you for the reality! I have to say our driver was absolutely fantastic and we always felt safe wherever we went.
When we were researching who to tour Sri Lanka with, we noticed a few strange reviews of Driver in Sri Lanka Tours which weren’t in keeping with those from people regularly posting fantastic reports of their experiences. We also witnessed first-hand some ‘rogue’ reports online of supposedly bad experiences, clearly from rivals wishing to undermine the success of Rohan’s company and cast doubt on the excellent service he provides. Please beware of this and ensure you chat with Rowan directly so any queries or concerns can be eradicated.
With two children aged 6 and 7 the kind of holiday we required was very much adventure based. The movement from place to place was excellent and our itinery was well thought out and a unique experience, tailored to our needs and individual requests. At one point we asked Rohan to change the itinery – which he did with no hesitation – and he accommodated our wishes with his usual good humour. Rohan was conscious of the need for regular breaks and travelling was broken up with so many unusual sights and opportunities to appreciate Sri Lankan culture. Because of the age of our children we did not want to be too late arriving at destinations and this was carefully pre-planned. Nothing was too much trouble.
We cannot recommend Driver in Sri Lanka Tours highly enough. We had a great experience thanks to Rohan, Manju and the professionalism of this company.response / report this review -

Rohan and his driver were extremely helpful and personable on our entire tour in May 2013. Prompt at the airport, collection times from the hotel and in correspondence ahead of the trip. Rohan is keen to understand what you would like to do during your visit, makes appropriate recommendations and keeps the tour on track with his significant understanding of all the areas we visited. The van we rode in was very clean, comfortable and we felt very safe the entire time we were on the tour. Highly recommended for his service, personal touch, knowledge and ability to tailor the trip based on the locations and hotels we selected.
