Perfect location (outside of the really touristic area), perfect hosts in Mel and Supun. Great breakfast, really nice cabana with the best shower ever!
Had a blast staying here
However if you're loved by mosquitos.. bring repellent.. a lot. they're everywhere but that comes along with staying in a bit more remote jungle-ish locations..

The dreamtime cabanas are located in paradise: monkeys climb in the old and very high trees, a green parrot greeted us on our arrival, squirrels jump from palm tree to palm tree and the most wonderful plants and fruits grow here. It’s in the jungle! The cabanas which are spread in this opulent Garden Eden were planned with the utmost taste of nature lovers. The simple layout and the materials fit perfectly in this jungle environment. The bathroom has an open roof, hanging plants decorate the walls and the daylight creates an almost holy atmosphere.
We are both artists from Germany and we were really inspired by the environment that Supun and Mel have created here. Everything was just perfect. It was clean and we slept unbelievably good. Every morning we were served a different, very tasty Sri Lankan breakfast with many bowls and fresh fruits. We can also recommend to order dinners at dreamtime cabanas as Supun’s Mum is a dedicated chef and all the currys and dals were so delicious. The beautiful and long Hikkaduwa beach is only 3 walking minutes away. We spent several nights at dreamtime cabanas and would have loved to stay forever. It is paradise!

And Supun is the best individual tour organizer you could imagine! Fully dedicated to nature and outdoor activities he organised a very individual Sri Lanka island tour with drivers and accomodations for us which brought us to the very special places and settings we wanted to see and that were not the normal tourist program but off the beaten track – and all of this according to our low budget. As artists we wanted to see places that were not on the usual tourist map or on tripadvisor, but untouched nature, animals, lonely beaches, beautiful sceneries. Supun was able to organise the perfect tour for us and fully understood what we wanted (all the other Sri Lanka tour organisers we had contacted before would just have given us the usual tourist attraction tour at a very high price). Supun is really dedicated to the individual wishes of his guests. He knows so many places and people all over the island and whatever you are looking for he will find it. Thank you again, Supun!

Thanks for a wonderful stay. We stayed for 3 days and had the best time. Also Very clean rooms and a nice spa like shower ambience. Also food is really delicious (made by Supuns mom).
The hosts dont have any staff because they want to provide the best quality possible and really go above and beyond for their guests. Highly recommended.
